A powerpoint of the aftermath of a very unpleasant motorbike/lorry encounter with the head of the victim lying in the road. I still feel sick thinking about it...

The internet & mobile phones have much worse stuff than TV ever will.
The clip of a live pig getting its head chainsawed off was pretty horrific.

i've unfortunatley seen the be heading one too and wish i hadnt. Thats the first thing i've seen which truly made me feel sick
The sound of the poor people landing on the ground after jumping from the twin towers is something that will stick with me for the rest of my life. Aweful. And seeing pictures in the papers of people holding hands as they are halfway down made me feel really depressed

I was about 200 yards away from the concord crash outside paris. The smell after it hit was something i will never forget (let alone witnessing it happening). genuine mix of fuel smell and what can only described as a bbq smell. horrendous and still makes me feel sick at the pit of my stomach.
What makes it worse is all these programmes/books claiming it is the worlds greatest piece of machine enginering. Even though the design was so tragically flawed.

russians in chechnya (sp?) were a bit nasty by all accounts. doesnt make it right but different to say a hostage killing of an "innocent"

Having to call an ambulance for a very good friend a couple of weeks ago after she had fallen and hit her head on a radiator - blood everywhere, unconscious. Spent all night in A&E with her, only to be told by the doctor that had she'd been on her own, she would only have had a few hours to live because of the damage to her spine which was restricting the oxygen supply in her blood. Pretty sobering night and not something I would care to repeat in a hurry.

I felt a little "odd" watching the beheadings in Iraq.
I thought that happened via a swift wallop with a big sword, didn't realise it was hacked off by sawing with a knife.
I use the word odd because I actually felt more pity / sorrowful for the victims than anything else.
Living on a farm all my life tends to deal out stuff others would throw up / pass out at the site of..
I've "necked" chickens for the Sunday roast and seen them run around the yard with a broken neck when someone let one slip.
I've seen cattle drop to the deck after having a bolt put in their skull.
I've even held one end of the "garrot" wire.... but I shant go into that on here as a few may be eating their tea about now.

Worst thing i've seen in real life was a bloke stabbing/slicing himself to death at the side of the road near Freetown in Sierra Leone. The traffic was at a standstill so we were alongside for a good 10 minutes. Not sure what it was about but he had a crowd standing watching, seemed like it was a ritual suicide or something.
Worst thing on the net? Probably the iraqi hostages being beheaded, or some of the footage/audio from 9/11 - particularly the clip recently released when the guy's talking to emergency services on his mobile from inside one of the towers as it starts to collapse. It's the most chilling scream I've ever heard.

1 crash in God knows how many years, CAUSED by FOD on the runway. Want to hear the story of the 747 who flew from *** to *** with a runway light embedded 1" awa fromt he main fuel tank? Another inch and that was Concorde mk2.
Is that design tragically flawed as well? 500 pax, 1" away from a "BBQ" as you so eloquently put it.

Seen the beheadings and didnt really bother me like that. The worst thing i ever saw was some sick barstewards on rotton.com stroking a kitten, they then proceed to put it in a cage , douse it in petrol and set light to it. Hearing the poor thing screaming and writhing in agony as they laughed their heads off. i would kill the ******* if i ever met them

saw one where a couple of lads hit a lorry head on (on the web) looked a bit like elephant man...
but like some of the emergency services, after a while you become hardened tto it, i was an undertaker for 6 years, so you tend not to be bothered..

Saw some Arab fella being dragged around (was sent this as a funny vid) and made to kneel down and what I can only describe as a sharpened broom stick shoved where the sun dont shine, he was then stood up on it and slid down it, it then popped out of his shoulder.
Still makes me wince !
