Arrival times are now firmed up. STA is 13:20L, on 27L, thats westerly ops so arriving over Hatton Cross. Weather data from Met Office indicates westerly ops for tomorrow.
Last time I heard, it was going to be cleared to 2000ft, 20 miles out, and cruise over London, so anyone east of LHR, on the ILS should have a lovely view.
Friday dep time is 05:55L, so bl00dy early! Again looks like we'll be on westerlies, so departing over the M25.
I've got a nice spot lined up on stand 601, right next to the tdz!
Hope you enjoy it!

So what does it do in the 70 mins between Bristol & LHR? I could drive to LHR in that time!
I guess the 13:20 LHR arrival means it will be over Bristol sometime just before 1pm?
Internal communications within Airbus & Rolls Royce have been poor - especailly considering both companies have very important roles in making the aircraft fly!

Just seen the A380 fly over Filton Airfield, Bristol
Arrived at 12pm.
A pretty impressive sight - a nice break in the clouds helped too.
Chase plane took off, and both headed north about 10 mins ago.

Watched it flying over Bristol - very impressive!
Surprisingly quiet too - those Rolls Royce Trent 900 engines must be good!
There was a jet with it too, but I couldnt work out what sort.

I'm confused by these flight-related acronyms, is it going to be flying over London? I'm assuming if they will be flying over Hatton Cross, they'll fly down the Thames?

Just got back from the airfield. Got my spot, 50 yards from touchdown. Apart from a bit of tyre squeal as she touched down, no sound at all from the engines. Very very impressive, although not representative of a passenger flight.
Its one big mommo though, caught site of it 5 miles out, and even at that distance, very easily identified.
