OF COURSE!!!!!!!
GOOD FUN!!!

Mine breaks transfer gear output shafts like a fat kid goes through candy!!!

in fact, i am replacing the broken set in it right now..... I am in the process of manufacturing some hardened heavy duty transfer gears to keep this from happening in the future... replaced 6 sets of transfer gears so far in this car.... it gets old!!!!

the only other real problem it has is eating rear differential units...

I am thinking strongly of going to the 3.90 R180 out of an STI (USDM), but that would require new axleshafts for the rearend, and mine are Driveshaft shop stage 5's already...

I dunno...

There is no issue living in Ireland is there?
Some spots would be difficult, but the rest is very laid-back and probably wet most of the time?
You are adding a bit of variety Ryno, so that is great!

Oh, sorry - to continue the thread

MY00 UK turbo. ITG panel filter, decat exhaust. Eibach springs, solid droplinks (F+R), Whiteline ARB, anti lift kit. 17" wheels, smoked side indicators, Sti6 front lip.
No idea of BHP/Torque, but probably more than the 212 BHP when I just had a panel filter/backbox.

Graham

I dunno, I think my biggest worry would be with a job that pays well enough, and then, the higher cost of living there as opposed to where I am in Texas...

When I was there before about 5 years ago, I fell in love with the country and it's people... I have never been anywhere else though, so I might really love all of the area over there in the U.K.

I worked at a Hot Rod parts shop for over 8 years from my High School days until just recently, about 6 months ago, I got the Hospital I.T. job....

one of my ideas was to get a good job in Ireland or U.K. somewhere and then start a parts store selling primarily American-branded high performance products....

Nitrous kits, turbos, intercoolers, ancillaries, etc.

I have noticed that the parts I have purchased from Demon Tweaks in the past are of good quality, but the prices are extreme compared to what we pay over here for the same or better quality.....

like nitrous kits, for instance.... the standard nitrous kit that I find over there for EFI single nozzle kit is around $1,000.00 U.S. dollars !!!!! for the same quality of kit over here, I can buy them as a distributor for around $280-$340.00 per complete kit....

even after paying duty-customs on the kits coming over, I would think I could still make $200-$300 profit and undercut the other companies by $200 or so with the same or better quality....

everything in the U.K. seems to be extremely high priced in general..... my Irish buddy has an R33 SKYLINE GTS-T and he said iridium spark plugs there are about 23 Euro's each!!!!! , he also remarked that synthetic oil was about 9 euros a bottle.....

I can get iridium plugs all day long for $8.75 each and major brands of synthetic oil for around $3.50 a quart.... Royal Purple oil for about $5.00 a quart... (It is made in Texas!!)

The rainy-days is the one thing I am not sure how I could handle.....

I know it is not Seattle or anything, but, it is still kinda dreary lots of days...

HMMMM....

NOOOOOOO!
PSLEWIS is older than me (I think )

This Snet needs a bit of maturity; seasoned finely honed engineeering skills to compliment a fine, delicate, but cuttingly good driving technique

And a good dose of bull ****.

I was building cars when you lot were taking Dinky toys out of the box...

Off to sulk now.

Anyway Shaun, where are the reports on tyres etc, and also: When you move a thread, why not state where you've moved it too, old duffers need all the help they can get...
Your Type C looks killa incidentally, you young guns get paid too much!

911 = 2 x RYNO.

That's not algebra but a fact.

It is my perception that the average age in the UK for a Scooby driver is about 30 for the modded cars, and 25 for the cookin' ones.

The old duffers have just too many responsibilities and 20 year old daughters to worry about, so we dream a bit and do a bit.
You will all catch me up soon.

Graham

But it scared me so went for an Sti

Enough: we should be back on topic!

HA!!!!

I hope I never have a mid life crisis.....

I have been experiencing the quarter life crisis 'since I was 17.... still experiencing it.....

always get the when I think about even dating a woman.....

It just never works out.... from me thinking that the date may actually be more than "just friends" to her telling me that she could never think of me as any more than a friend..... BLAH....

I just feel when I let my mind wander away from cars....

maybe I am going to die at 45 or 50, and this is my mid life crisis....

I dunno....
