Nasty comments? Is stating a fact (that you are being somewhat hypocritical) considered a nasty comment. If it's nasty comments you want I could willingly oblige with things that would no doubt make you very upset indeed, but I don't see the point in doing that.
As said, providing your inane threads stick in muppets, where I no longer venture, unless pointed at a thread where some may be insulting me (which I think is rare these days), then I don't have a problem. It's when you and others continue to post useless threads in NSR, or help to/take them off topic that I decide to pipe up and comment on it, as I'm doing now.
If you don't like my comments or my attitude towards you then feel free to PM, email, report the comment, or post in policy, about it and let those who run the forum deal with it.
As yet (here's tempting fate ) on this thread I've not had any feedback from those in lofty positions telling me to back off. Granted Paul did on the BNP thread, and I do believe I adhered to that, though the comments were subsequently deleted. However I did not make any complaints either publically or privatley about why I'd been moderated. I knew why, it was simple to understand.
If you really don't comprehend that some of the threads you are posting in NSR are seen by myself, and I assume others (maybe I'm alone here though?) are somewhat silly, then I'm sorry that I've credited you with being more sensible than you may be. Also if you consider that the argument of "you get caught up in the moment" is acceptable for taking a thread of topic then the same also applies.
I know I cannot stop you posting, and in some ways I'm glad I cannot, seeing what you'll post up next in NSR does brighten the day a fair bit and others that pop by and see the threads are also amused.

You are stating that all mods basically post ****e, thus demeaning what they do for SN. Then on other occasions you're more than happy to let them do their job and remove comments, or move threads because the comments/threads are not to your approval.
Perhaps this comment was meant to be sarcastic and I've been "had".

well Ive been observing but keeping my mouth shut on this one all day but seeing as everyone else is having their say......
I agree that Chris was making a valid point... IMO there is a great irony of someone going through what SS is going through but then going on a sunbed, which we all know can cause cancer.
HOWEVER, it is something that I thought in my head rather than something I would (normally) say out loud BECAUSE it is SS's life to do with whatever she wishes.
So maybe in hindsight he wishes he'd bit his tongue? Only he can answer that. But should he apologise for it? Well if he did, it would set a great precedent, which would see all of us apologising for quite a lot.... and no time for fun.... form an orderly queue here please....
Its not a playground. Well actually it is. Its a playground for grown ups and if we dont like something we see we either get into a slanging match - which provides great entertainment for everyone else or we look away.
Should he apologise because he is a mod? Unless he's breaching the rules I dont think so.

Is there not an unwritten law to exercise tact and diplomacy on such a sensitive issue? Surely as a mod he should know that?!

It's actually not worth continuing to post on this thread as it's obviously too hard for some to see the reason Chris said what he said, plus it's not a comfortable situation to drag out.
