It's actually not worth continuing to post on this thread as it's obviously too hard for some to see the reason Chris said what he said, plus it's not a comfortable situation to drag out.
I think we might be in danger of seeing eye to eye on some points.

I once fell through a sunbed at a local leisure centre, I was moving about as to reduce those unsightly white areas on the base of your spine and on your shoulder blades, when there was a loud cracking noise....next thing I crashed through the tubes.

I had to go to reception to report my misshap, and the bimbo behind the glass simply asked me "What do you weigh?".

Cheeky ******.....I was 18ST at the time though.

Obviously my next call was speed dial 1......CLAIMSRUS

PS...This is my last ever post

ive just started reading some of this thread.
yes chris the moderator has spoken out of term, he should a least appologise if he is a decent bloke. Sara expressed her oppinion on the matter which was quite right, due to the events with her mother, which anybody would do.
Now i read further on and some people say, why doesnt she use such and such a place to find her answers to her query. Well i read some of the threads on here and there just a total load of ****e. Like what mobile? for
instance. And as for her hijacking threads, well, she certainly didnt hijack this one did she?
Now lets all just fecking grow up, act like adults and help each other out.
Surly thats what scoobynet is all about?

TBH I've read the first page of this thread and gave up... So I may be repeating others here

Right - my 2 penny'th worth on the original subject of the thread..

I used to use sunbeds, as with my colouring I find it really hard to tan - I used to go a attractive shade of lobster.

After seeing and supporting my dad with his fight with cancer, I decided that I didn't want to add further risk to myself by using sunbeds*; that was my decision, and I am not suggesting by mentioning this that Squaresy is right or wrong - it's her life, her decision - she's a big girl
*but I still sunbathe on the beach etc so am I wrong to do that??

Squaresy- googles are supposed to protect your eyes from the UV - but they may make you leave a rather attractive google shaped white mark around your eyes - alternatively most salons have 'blinkies' which again are supposed to withhold the effects of the lamps but without the sexy white marks..

What you post, is up to you. He has no say in the matter. If he doesn't like it, he shouldn't read it

One point was that she was being hypocritical bysaying she did not want this thread being taken off-topic when she is quite happy to take a thread off-topic herself, or join in with others to take it off-topic.

The other point was that she got a tad upset that someone pointed out the fact that in one thread she is commenting on cancer and in another thread (this one) she's talking about sunbeds. The thought being that sunbeds could possibly cause cancer (I'm not saying whether they do or not by the way) and thus the two threads seem to be at odds with each other which is strange.

The only thing strange round here is you Markus and your point of view. You have something seriously wrong and I recommend you go get help Try a search on google for someone to help you in your area

get it right at least....i got some good replys then the mod did his bit on post 8 then it went off topic

groundhog day

the issue here wasnt the thread going off topic, although that became a later issue, the issue was chris's comment which was very tactless and insensitive and has no bearing on my mums lung cancer. i could understand the irony as you put it if my mum was suffering from skin cancer

Even if Sara was being hypocritical (which I don't think she was) the comment about her mum was completely out of order, what kind of person sits there and writes something like that?
