You seem to be talking gibberish ... pslewis won't respond if you cannot even spell properly.
""There"" met by the 1%?? Try ""they're"" met by the 1% and he may honour you by replying!

pslewis's advice was to not spend £500 on tuning a car, it was advice given freely and thrown back into his face. Had it been taken and the thread allowed to move on without attacking Mr Lewis then it would have just been a piece of advice given and not acted upon. Your problem is the pslewis name, nothing to do with what is posted!
You seriously need to get out more

You gave your advice ..... the guy didn't want it, end of story !
But no you have to keep posting/baiting why because your advice is never free it comes with a high price becuase you continue to post on the thread ruining it for everyone else and then wonder why everyone gets the hump with you.

OK, how many engines have been damaged by Det.? Numbers please, or your statement holds no water. (lets say over the past 6 years)
Then please state how many engines Subaru have in the UK - work out the % and THEN come here and tell me there's a problem!
The FACT is that only those engines which have been fooooked about with by tuning are shagged!!
And there we go - FULL CIRCLE - back to the best piece of advice on this thread .... 'Leave the friggin' car as Subaru built it and put the £500 to better use'!
There you have it - proof that you should leave well alone!!

oi troll,
You're alright to give grief to advise asking people but wont turn up to the NBO when in the first instance you said you would and was prepared to go in the stocks also.
But as for the DET related issue, its a fact with a turbo charged engines if they run lean they can DET and can screw up the engine big time. There are many factors why an engine might run lean,to many to start listing them now i might add,but only one reason why you say no one should use/buy them, because you say they're crap.
Its only when you use a knocklink, the normal, average joe blogs can keep an eye on it.
YOU GIVE THE EVIDENCE TO PROVE THEY ARE CRAP AND DONT WORK !

of coarse they can lean,a simple MAF failure can cause the engine to run lean.

And you implied that Turbo engines run lean by their design ...... now you are saying that they 'may' run lean if they have a fault????
You are a raving idiot - please give me data, proof, evidence.
You are spouting what someone said once upon a time and you haven't the knowledge or intelligence to dispute it - I, on the other hand, being the smartest brain on the block, can!
You are way out of your depth mate - apologise or suffer a humiliating defeat
