If your priority is good food, cooked outdoors then gas is perfect. It allows for easy set up meaning more outdoor sessions, cooking faster and safer and with more control.
If your priority is slow setup, hassle, cleaning up, burnt food and smoke then chacoal is your thing.
When i see gordon ramsey cook food without an ability to control the level of heat i will start doing likewise.

As for the rest, it doesn't take long to setup, I've never burnt anything on the BBQ and it tastes much better than gas and it takes about 2 seconds to tip the coals on to the compost when it's all over.
