Then swap 2 hands for 2 beers and you have a useful outcum.

I haven't read the thread Sara, but to answer your original question. If two bottles did put you over the limit, which is unlikely, you would have to plead guilty to driving OPL but argue special reasons for non-disqualification.

2 Beers, two standard Carling type beers, wouldnt put me over the limit so yep if I needed to in an emergency, in fact as long as I had eaten and had a couple of hours afterwards I wouldnt worry about it, what does worry me is when I have been out into Manchester and been drinking or several hours and then come home and gone to bed, I never drive the following day after a big night out. My dad has a 17 stone 50 year old mate who has been breathalysed several times having had 4 pints of bitter and each time it comes up that he is under the limit, wouldnt chance/condone that but the breathlyser has just confirmed his suspicion that he could drink that much and still be ok.

To be honest if I had to get one of the kids to hospital I would just go for it in almost any circumstance but to be honest thats what ambulances are for.

if you don't crash then it will always be ok.. cos theres never any police on the roads and speed cameras don't catch drunk people.

So just be a bit cautious

2 * becks is only 2.5 units
(1 litre of x% abv = x units, so 2x250ml@5%abv=2.5 units)

it takes 45 minutes to process a unit, longer for each unit if you're binging.

if i'd necked 2 bottles in 15 mins, no. if it was an hour, yes.
