My son got bullied for a time at junior school. I told him to tackle the ring leader on his own. He did and gave him a good sorting. They left him alone after that but he got a right bolloxing off the teacher
You can't win. His Dad said, "Next time Son, do it when the teacher isn't looking"

My daughter had a few issues with teasing/bullying that the school didnt deal with so i wrote a letter to her head saying i had given my child the advice that if the bullying was being dealt with my the school the way it was in 1980 when i was at the same school (ie. nothing done at all) then she should deal with the bully the way i did in 1980.

As such i had no interest in attending a meeting that may take place after she has dealt with the situation herself.....school said "noooo, we will sort - dont worry"....they didnt so she slapped the boy silly and left him crying in front of his mates.....never heard a peep from the school.

Rhino

ohh...should add, there is no way on earth my kids would go to a school that was "mainly asian", they will go to schools that represent the UK's cultural mix - and that is NOT mainly asian.

Ive been sending my son to boxing for nearly a year and to stick fighting which includes lots of forms of marshall arts including self defence.Hes only 10 but can now look after himself properly in preperation for secondry school in september.Ive always told him never to bully which as far as i know he doesnt judgeing by how popular he is with his class mates. He is the first person to step in front of anybullying going on in the class and sort the problem out,and thats from his teacher. My advise to miss Kinky is to enrol your son in a boxing club and dont tell anyone, his confidence will build and very quickly he will feel like he can cope in a bullying situation.e will only have toassert himself once win or lose and the bully will move onto his next victim.Hope you get it sorted regards JAY

i don't have an issue with the children at the school being Asian - i enjoy living in a multi-cultural society

however the school was not my first choice, for other reasons...

Behave like a complete nutter - call the police and tell them that you will kill anyone who threatens your kids. Get treatment for physcosis from your doc (don't take it - you will become a veggie) - police can't do anything to you until you actually do something, but they will warn the bullies and their families of imminent death by lunatic....do some lunatic stuff, find out where the bullies live and hang round outside the house painting lambs blood on the pavement

I'll second that. I would not go to, nor send my kids (if I had any) to a school where the minority was White.

What I find annoying as well, is schools who have immigrant pupils. Surely their lack of English brings the whole class down, as things will have to be said and explained slowly. All children lose out then. Where is this country going to be if our children are not learning everything they are supposed to because they are getting dragged down by immigrants. Down the pan, that where.

Manufacturing jobs are going abroad at an alarming rate. If our kids are under educated for the reasons above, then technology, management etc jobs will be farmed out abroad as well.

Blair's labour policy of greeting our foreign friends with open arms is ruining this country. (wait for the barrage of "We only receive skilled workers". More propaganda sh1te)

i suspect that its the Asian boys who are racist, but have no proof and i am reluctant to make the accusation...
go to the police, simple as that love, and tell your son he did the best thing by not hitting back, does he really want to lower himself to that level?

I think that getting their parents involved in this case would be a good thing. The generation of Asians that are parents now still generally have reasonable values and haven't been anglicised too much. (the almost certainly won't want to fight as would many English parents) So they will probably take it very seriously and as "face" is so valued amongst Asians they will probably want it to stop as soon as possible before it brings their family into disrepute by having the police turn up.

Alternatively write a letter to your local BNP candidate.

He came home yesterday with a black eye and a broken tooth
I don't know about bullying, but that sounds more like assault!

If he's broken a tooth at 12 - prob his adult teeth - he's got a lifetime of paying a dentist to sort out his broken tooth problems..........

As well meaning as a lot of the advice is, it's always nice to have options.

Being able to hit back doesn't mean you have to. Not knowing how to just means he'll be an easy target if they're bored.

I think you should tackle the school as to how they are discharging their responsibilities to you and your son. They are legally responsible for him. Future bullying and/or assaults could lead to accusations of negligence.

I'd also consider boxing, martial arts to keep him fit and give him more options.

seeing as your kid is new to the school and doesn't really know anyone, has he not got any friends where he lives that could help him out?

Because when I was back into school me and my friends had our fair share of fights etc and the police would come round after enough people complained, asked for our side of the story, and then generally just tell us that it was a waste of theyre time coming as its only a silly little school fight, but also told us to leave it at that.

Most 12 yr olds will **** themselves at the prospect and the oens that dont would have to be quite good friends to get involved.
