Davyboy- I actually agree with your usual angle on a few things you post but this time you need pulling up!!
To make your first statement without actually reading the story, and then admitting to not having the facts, does, without doubt, make you look a right díckwad.
Hamed was good to watch as a boxer, but this accident shows just what a wánker he is as a person. It's unfortunate he obviously drives like an arsé, for not only his own credibility, but also the safety of others.
To leave anybody in the state he left someone and run off, represents no more than a large pile of shít.
Bad driving errors can't be made repeatedly unless you are a reckless túrd behind the wheel.
Lets hope big Norman gets him in the showers.

Lifetime driving ban and ordering him to do 10,000 hours or so community service of teaching/coaching youngsters boxing would have been my sentence of choice. At least then he wouldn't ever get the chance to do it again (he's proved he can't drive enough times) and would be paying back the community. Oh, and a few hundrer K compensation to the poor guy who got all broken up in the car he hit.

I did read the SKY NEWS LINK when it was first posted up. It just said he was in a crash and caused an injury, nothing to do with dangerous driving, or leaving the scene...in fact it still doesn't say that??
A lot of what is posted on this thread does not come from the sky link.

Lee Hughes, the footballer, did a similar thing and got widely condemned when he was jailed. Don't see it as jealousy and certainly not a religious issue. If it had been a lad in a wrx or a doctor in a M3 I'd feel the same.
The point is that it's not fair to take stupid risks on public roads.
Anyone know why he left the scene? It's normally drink or drug related isn't it? Even if not, it's sad that a man with such a big ego didn't have the ***** to face what he'd done to an innocent bloke.

As soon as he came up against his first world class opponent he got made to look what he was, a showboating *** with no heart. Barrera ended his career and took his credibility.
The punishment he's received for nearly killing someone through his own arrogance is an insult. I only hope the guy he nearly killed can hit him where it will hurt most- his wallet.

So all the ‘oooo it’s cos he’s black’ brigade can back off and climb back up onto the moral high ground.
Mr Hamed had achieved so much but at the end of the day he was just a rich loud mouthed egotistical little ***** who had a specific talent, this is well documented.
Loud and brash he did very well and amassed the wealth and trappings which come with reaching the pinnacle of your chosen field. He was even awarded the MBE !
Like it or loath it he used to be a very very good showman and a half decent boxer.
Unfortunately for what ever reason his grip on reality remained with the fairy tale life that surrounded the ‘show biz’ lifestyle including the hangers on and yes men he constantly surrounded himself with.
What he did was and I quote a witness
"stupid, suicide, ridiculous".
Unfortunately his ego very very nearly killed a man, this person remains very ill due to the nature of his injuries received in the impact with the vehicle driven by Mr Hamed, causing the incident is without doubt the overriding issue and should remain the focus of attention but to be so spineless as to and I quote ‘run a way’ from the scene is beyond comprehension.
I think I am also correct in understanding his phone calls immediately after the incident were not to the emergency services !
Wonder if they will put him in Doncatras or Armley ??
