According to an article in the paper this morning the guy injured in the crash is going to sue Hamed for £3.5 million (£1m for loss of earnings and £2.5m for medical care for the rest of his life). Apparently, Hamed is worth around £70m so it's still fairly small change to him...

I honestly dont know...

With regards to his having a career, Id disagree: he lost his career as soon as he was beaten. Any boxer preparing to fight Hamed now will watch the tapes and see how to win. Hamed was good, but he wasnt nearly as good as he appeared to be; as soon as someone saw his weakness he was finished. When you consider too, that he cant be told anything, he hasnt a hope. An aquaintance of mine is an ex-IBF champion and joined Hameds camp towards the end: he tried but Hamed knew way too much to be helped by a better boxer.....

"Wrong"? Wrong how, exactly? Ive checked my original post carefully and I can assure you that it contains no factual errors. Powerman, if you dont understand whats being said then its better to keep quiet.

For the time being, I will take the opinion of an ex-IBF Super Middleweight champion over a soundbite on the news.

One of my mates only served 8 months for death by dangerous so im surprised he got 15 months, must have been because he left the scene and lied otherwise he could have been out sooner.

Having been on the receiving end of a head smash at a combined speed of 140mph, i can tell you its not a very nice, its made worse when you can see your wife standing at your bedside while your wired up to all manner of machines and drips, drifting in and out of consiousness and not being able to tell her your ok..ish.
The stupid student tw@t who hit me got banned from driving for 2yrs, but seeing as my injuries were no where near as bad as this poor chaps.
The sentance what has just been handed out is far too soft IMHO, he will be out in about 8mths to carry on living life to the full, where as the chap he injured will still be suffering and coming to terms with his injuries, will Hamed give any thought to this bloke, No will he ****, im guessing he will come out of prision bragging to his mates how easy it was and cary on with the good life.

He's a scum.

He's probably not going to prison at all - no doubt the prison they want to send him to doesnt cater fully for his religious needs, so its been deemed to be "against his human rights", so hes been freed instead

**** Naseem - ****.

Havent met / didn't meet any of them (and wouldn't want to). Still allowed an opinion.

Anyone that half kills someone then leaves them for dead is at least a **** - and tending towards scum to be honest.

So to paraphrase.

Anyone who causes or increases danger of injury or death through a deliberate action or lack of action - is a ****.

Were you a gold star debating member of the societies at Uni ?

If I took your standpoint, I could argue that Tony Bliar, who has sent hundreds of servicemen and women into a dubious war is a total ****.

Hmmmmmm. Perhaps you have a point!

Nas waited at the scene for quite some time. He ensured that the emergency services had been called. He only left when it became clear that tempers, understandibly, overflowed and the good old press turned up.

He was NEVER going to hide the fact that his £320K car with plate of NAS 1 was wrapped up on a road near his home. If I was him I'd probably have done the same. Clear the scene and face the music - which is exactly what he has done - so lay off it...

That just about covers it for me.

To defend any **** in the circumstances of this case appears to be a little bit of hero worship.

No problem with hero worship - but don't let it get in the way of facts.

If this involved any other non-celeb everbody in the world would at least say "What a ****".

He ran away from the scene of a major RTA leaving a man very very close to death and his wife seriously injured. He immediately after leaving the scene made calls to non emergency numbers. Are these the actions of a man or a mouse ?

Are you condoning his actions by saying this is the course of action you would take ?

A quote from the victim

"His only instinct was to save himself. He left me for dead," said Anthony Burgin.

My 15 year old son sat in one on Sunday and was allowed to start the engine

I decided that if I got into it, the chances of me being able to manoeuvre my elderly body *out* of it again were very slim
