You will need help first:-

Tribology is defined as the science of interacting surfaces in relative motion. The word tribology comes from the Greek tribos, meaning rubbing

When I say rubbing I mean surfaces NOT what you do each day with your **** Because this is the level you will think at!

is that what you like to do on your time off? rub your **** against other blokes, mmmm no thanks you strange strange man.

anyway back onto the subject, rather than personal insults.

to be honest the subject is kinda, limited in its focus, although various groups and studies do go on it seems to be they are concentrating on trying to analise the effects on the materials and not on a soultion, perhaps i havn't push forward in to the subject enough to find more out about it, not my main field it has to be said, but i supose it is a field that perhaps i should look more into with regard to engine wear, bearings and even tyres and brakes due to either having or using friction that either increases or decreases depending on requirement.

Enjoyed it mate

Need to get back to my Design work I'm afraid ... the Defence of the Realm is my priority - SN just serves to bolster my ego by showing me that I am superior

In this place I work there are some real brainboxes, so I need SN to remind me that I am actually a LOT cleverer than your average grease monkey

Whatever is going on here (and in many, many posts more recently) is absolutely pathetic!!

Is this place not called 'Scoobynet' - where exactly does that imply jibbering on about utter rubbish? There are however, specific areas of the bbs for talking about absolute crap and insulting people.

The simple fact is that preza si began this thread asking a reasonable question - about the best place to get his engine rebuilt. Then, as increasingly seems to be the case, along comes all the bull****, hearsay and general diversionary comments made by individuals who continue to up their post count by talking utter rubbish - it's getting boring!

Just my thoughts - ??? It should be quite obvious who is providing good advise and those who are providing a bum steer!!

Here, here.

Poster: Take your car to API!!! You need only look at the long list of previous happy customers to know 1) They don't rip you off 2) The standard of the wor is very high 3) They are about as experienced as anywhere else when it comes to Scooby rebuilds.

HOW??

I would be making a daily tit of myself if I was driving around on WHITE wheels

You must feel REALLY stupid when the rest of your car looks half decent - even the CHAVVIE front lights seem quite well done!

But, come on, WHITE WHEELS!!!!!

The laughing stock of the Tyne/Tees area no doubt??

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/10...nygav/side.jpg

White wheels and pink badge ..... you bat for the other side - don't you!!

Pete

Thought all this was transfered to Muppets?
Thought this was the Technical Section of Snet?

Think I'll go and stay in Projects, and if that gets infiltrated move to the grey side and to 22B.

The only way out then is to move to EVO country. (it's not the same over there is it?)

Ok, you big cry babies

I think I have posted on just TWO of the threads in Technical in recent times - and there you go blubbing to mummy, you are really pathetic!!

Truth is, whenever you see my name you 'expect' some sense to be written and you would rather stay coccooned in your **** world with your comfort blankets of Rolling Road Graphs and CockLinks

But, if you want to analyse my first post on this thread we shall see whether I disrupted the thread or whether the RESPONSES from YOU lot took it off topic:-

My first post read:-

"DIY .... it amazes me completely the lack of ability of owners to do a simple rebuild .... it's not complicated and it doesn't take brains.

Easy peasey if you have the luxury of time and want to know you did a proper job (NOT saying others may not do a proper job, just that the satisfaction of hearing an engine fire that you have had in bits is one of lifes pleasures!)

I would guess a complete rebuild would cost £300 in parts top whack??? Not bad value!!

Pete"

Now, what was wrong with that?????????? - come on, honest answers - maybe my £300 was out a bit, but it WAS a question!!

Then take a lok at the RESPONSES my post received ...... thats where you messed the thread up - clearly it WASN'T down to my post but YOUR **** reaction to it!!

The next post in the thread says it all really, it was from that idiot p1mark, and it reads:-

"yeah you are right Pete.

You are guessing. And completely wrong. **** off to some other forum where your *guesses* may be of some value or worth"

The response to my honest post was to be told to **** off by a complete **** ...... so, p1mark wrecked the thread - lets HANG the ********!!!! Yeah!!!!

See??

Pete
