Blown MAF, rattly engine... doesn't sound good. Best keep your fingers crossed but a MAF normally fails slowly so the car would have been running very advanced and lean for quite a while.

The MAF was fine said the mapper one week or so ago. The engine sounds rough as hell at the moment but maybe rattly is not the best way to describe it.

Eeeeeek, I do hope nothing's broken! Do you have a Kn(c)ocklink mate? If not, I would recommend one since your car is tuned. If nothing else, it'll give you warning of a MAF on the way out!

To back up what's been said already - ECUTEK's do not lose the map by an ECU reset, as the map is written into Flash memory. To lose/over-write it you have to put a certain voltage onto a certain pin and re-programme, not just take the power away.

I'll go with being "100% certain" as I have an ECUTEK map on my bugeye, and have reset the ECU myself a couple of times without losing the map (with the bugeye that involves connecting things to the OBDII port, not playing with connectors under the dash). I'd also suggest that Harvey has a fair idea about such things, if you check out his track record with tuning scoobs over the years
