I Drive a CTR and a Scooby. Try to treat all road users in the same way as i would want to be treated. I have been in the CTR and been behind many a scooby round my way (S Oxfordshire). And managed to enjoy the same roads in a spirited way as they obviously were. But keeping at a good distance behind. That way no one feels pressured. And we all have fun.

My thought is, my CTR is quick, but there are allways quicker, so I have nothing to prove. I just wish everyone else was the same.

I do agree that as long as you realise it is all down to the driver at the end of the day. Not the car. An idiot is allways an idiot. Whatever he/she is behind the wheel of. Though I can see that certain cars do seem to make their owners feel as if they have to race everrything on the road.

But then in my experience the worst I have come accross are Diesel Golfs and Passats. Yet I do not tar everydriver of said car in the same way. Just do not let one or two bad experiences taint your impresions.

AS a little side point to those who think that over 200 bhp is pointless in a FWD car, well I have a fair chunk more than that. And I do not have any traction issues in the dry. And only in the wet if I am being silly. It is all down to the power delivery. Very linear. No boost chiming in and out (though mine has a JRSC, the power delivery makes it feel like I am driving a 3ltr, but without the weight ). Also the cars chassis is well set up. And with a tweek to the toe and camber the car turns in much better than our scooby, with better throttle response so you have more control of the power. Helps having a power band that goes from 2500 - 8000

I do not even have an LSD yet, though it is next on the list

I know someone who used to have a CTR with a jackson super charger running about 9 psi of boost (320bhp), pretty similar spec to the one mentioned earlier but don't don't think it had the Quaife LSD, it was a really quick car, well in a straight line once rolling.
Off the mark it was crap, couldn't get any traction and would still be spinning in 4th in the damp, and it used to torque steer really bad.

I am 'only' running the street kit so 4psi. Still good for 236 wheel bhp. Which is plenty. A good compromise between performance and drivability.
