Orbv : server not 'ours' til 20:00.
are you not using gamespy to connect ? you can see when the server becomes 'ours' if you do.
someone else will have it booked up til 19:59.
it then automatically becomes 'ours.
try again in 3-5 mins....cya there

Quite enjoyed that tonight. Not played CS for about 3 months. Also back on my laptop. Probably need a bit more target practice, but I don't think I did too bad.
All the guns have changed name since I last played. Also have to download all the patches and maps tomorrow at work. Mega bandwidth

Yep good sesh. Many funny moments with a "certain" terrorist legging it past Deano and shooting me. I was that surprised I just started laughing.

Me and Norm went off to UK2NET13 and carried on with Italy for a while. Should we have a default where we can retire to when the sehs ends, or are we not that fussed? I suggest the above server, it's admin is Clan =HG= or something.
When it changed to Assault, Norm ruled. I went AFK don't remeber why and when I came back it was BAckalley so I went to bed. Had to be up at 03:40 to watch the Melbourne Cup live.
No I backed the third. Each way though.

Not had much time to do anything non work related recently.
Contract is up in a couple of weeks and I am trying to make myself (even more) indespensable
I will try and make it to the next session, although I am bound to be crap having not played in quite some time ...

Enjoyed my first outing with you all last night, the only problem being kicked off at 10pm
After the game finished last night I set about upgrading my old dedicated CS server to 1.3. In the past we have found the machine and cablemodem link is very playable with 4-6 people connected if not more :-D
It is not up 24x7 but can be started on request. If its any use let me know and I will publish the IP / password.

Make sure on 747 the only weapons choice is a machine gun, flak jacket and not to be rude SMOKE 
.
Thats the only way to play the level
Oh and of course you must ensure that Keldar only makes it as far as the front door, then we can all pi55 about as he watches in vain as we run round in circles.

If we can have some custom maps then can we PLEASE have cs_speedball.
This map is a total hoot, its fairly small and laid out like a paintball field.
Pretty easy to find, just search on www.google.com for cs_speedball or I can email it to anyone that wants it.

cant play when i am the only one lagging and there are people killing me with pings less than 100 who i get the drop on only to die when they fire 1st shot at me
thanks for server orbv. hope its better another nite. will try tomorrow if server is up.
was gr8 for 30 mins and then no good at all for a 56k'er like me.
rest of u were fine on militia. most of u less 100. i cant compete in even playing field when its like that.
i dont want HH - i want ADSL which is still not available on my exchange.

Then map change to Aztec and thats when I gave up as I could only move a few paces then the world stood still .

yeah was fine for me to start and then as more joined and they were lpb's it made it unplayable for me. for a while everyone pinging high but when it settled down it was still me losing out and was just no fun. went and played max payne instead and let them get on with it.
i'll look tonite and see if Orb is running it. maybe will be better. but tried to ISP's last nite so....
i just gotta wait for better connection....or no more than 3 v 3 !

So who went nuts in the office just before I quit with the bren gun?
Quite enjoyed last night. My better half said at nine, "are you coming to bed", I said "yes in a minute". Got my laptop out... the rest is history.
Im giving the guy who configures our server a lift to Watford tomorrow, so I'll try and push him along on doing the upgrade.

Not quite sure what happened myself. I bought a para on one round and all went fairly normal for a round, I think I got one T.
The next round started and I still had about 90 bullets left in the (what is it for a para, a magazine, a clip or a chain ??). So the round started and I didn't need to buy anything so I legged it straight away with the knife out, got all the way to the T's spawn before anybody appeared to have started moving so I just had to mow you all down (it was unnerving for a minute because i held the fire button down from about 5 cs yards away and didnt seem to be hitting anything
, until all 3 turned round to look at me and then they all died .
Top laugh, not very team oriented or stealthy or whatever but to see my k/d go from 11/8 to 20/8 in just three rounds of maniacal para rushing was something to behold.
The lag was fairly bad 4 a while, in fact my isdn was giving me pings of a constant 250 as opposed to steves 300 on 56k ?
All calmed down later on though and was a top laugh, cheers to DMW for hosting the game, it was great
