At last nights packed TTS meeting twinned with the NBO committee meeting we appointed the new Convoy leader

A well respected and one of the orignal founders of the TTS

(whose orignal roof spoler prompted subaru to put them on the 06 modles )

He will be leading the convoy from Washington sesvices then to Scotch Corner where he will whip the scoobys up into a frienzie and excitement for the day ahead ,count the numbers and will make the important phone call to the Nbo chief Marshall before departure at 1030 AM

he will then lead the convoy down to Lightwater for 11AM

thanks go to the now legendary Johny Gav who did the convoy leaders job for the last 3 years who has been promoted to NBO field Officer to help co-ordinate the trade stands and club parking before the Event

It will be interesting to see who will have the BIGGEST convoy to the NBO as i hear competion is strong from Ferryhill

Most stands are 30 yards by 30 yards so that is your only space !!!!!!



these stands will be positioned around the edges of the field with the 'independants ' in the centre of the Arena

we are looking for aprox 180 cars on club stands and 120-220 depending on final numbers to be parked in the centre of the field

last year was a hugh sucess and we have expanded on this concept with a

walk in and view the local Club for you .

Tips for stand Managers
---------------------------------------------------------------

what we are looking for is

A good selection of Cars with variety ,colour co-ordination,different styles, and modles,

All Cars must be highly polished and pristine .

we are looking for

Tent is it decorated with club logos ?

Does it have photos and club information ?

Banners are an important part of your display does it shout out your message of the Club ?

Bunting or dividers to seperate you from your neighbouring stand ?

Is it staffed by your Club members ?

Are they enthuastic and inviteing people onto the stand to look around or will they be huddled around looking bored and talking to each other instead of potential new members

Are they wearing the Club T-Shirts /badges or other club regalia ?

(at the VERY LEAST we would expect a Subaru T-Shirt worn as we are NOT pushing Nike or England football)

Have you Point of sale to hand out to people ?


What have you done that is different from the other club stands ?

I am not going to post Ideas but I do know of a few that are going to be a crowd puller !!!

Stand Organisers/managers have you done a dummy run or are you just doing it on the day ?

Have you stood back and looked at the stand ?

Is it the best that you can do ??


IS IT GOOD ENOUGH TO BE THE BEST CLUB STAND IN THE NBO and the Country #############################

the times for the stand will be posted this week so 180 cars dont turn up at 9am !! but as a guideline there will be 10 minutes slots between 845-945 so you might have to wait in the central area of the field so we can move you into your allocated section

I will post shortly the layout for the stands so you can meet your neighbours for the day

The Trade stands are where they always are next to the NBO tent and Cancer research/Stroke Association tents

For those NBO anaraks the 12 traders stretch round the corner and then we start the rest of the Club Stands which will be opposite the CS /TTS etc stands and back onto the far hedge


First one is the

LADS as they need lots of time and place for their trophey from last year

SIDC is next


CADS is next as they need a lot of space too !!

SMACS led by the legendary CW is next then

WYIOC then

WR1 club then

RB5 club then the

Ayrshire Scoobys

This the layout of the field and will be with stand space allocated as the number of scoobs listed previously with us .


In the centre is the new

SHOW AND SHINE arena

and the remaining scoobys/indepentants /unloved/not attatched/want new friends / people will park with the Club stands parked around the edges will be looking to recruit new members from the <centre> scoobs !!!


what part of this years NBO <vision> was the idea to strengthern the club stands around the country with new members so hence the posh stands competion to recruit new scooby members .

we at the NBO committee are excited about the new layout and Im sure all the Club stand managers will get behind us in making this the

as always the NBO raffle is one of the top fundraisers with over £1000 raised evert time


thanks to Andy at Grade A who is on his 4th NBO now and as always supply a top prize .

this year a Rally Day course by Bill Gwyn which is a fantastic prize !!!

also Chris <scooby Towers > from the LADS who has not only got his employer BAE to double the money raised on the day for the stroke association like last year he has also got a

1/48 scale model of a Hawk 100.
Its similar to the Airfix models - only 100 times better quality.

You cant buy one of these in the shops and it cost BAE over £150 so once again Chris thanks for this fine gesture




If any one else 9and there will be over 500 of you there) have any contacts with companys and want to donate a raffle prize please fetch it along on the day to the NBO tent

All the money raised goes to chairity and its important we can raise as much as possible

last year we raised just over £3500 so lets try to beat that this year #####

THE MARSHALLS CAN NOT GIVE CHANGE AS THE BUCKETS ARE SEALED SO IF YOU ONLY HAVE A TENNER ON YOU ,YOU WILL PAY THAT TENNER !!!!!!!

£5 IS FOR THE CAR NOT PERSON BUT LIKE LAST YEAR MOST PEOPLE THROW AN EXTRA COUPLE OF QUID IN

ALL CLUB STAND MEMBERS WILL BE PAYING THIS AS WELL ON ENTERING THE FIELD SO DONT FORGET AND DONT ASK THE MARSHALLS FOR CHANGE (TO BE TIGHT) OR YOU WILL BE SENT AWAY FROM THE FIELD :AND EVERY SCOOBY IN THE QUE WOULD LAUGH AT YOU !!!!!


The vouchers for the reduced £10.95 admission can be collected from the NBO tent next to Cancer Research at the entry and raffle tickets will be sold with some great prizes

The raffle will be drawn at 340pm and if you are there and win you will get your prize if you have gone home or are in the theam park and dont hear your number called 3 times the ticket is drawn again as we cant post the prizes on as the money goes away to the charitys at 4pm .

if you are on a stand and entering the show and shine competion please park your car at the front of your club stand to save moving everyone around


and drive safely to the NBO as the police has been informed of the event and will be out and about especially around the small vilages around LV
