No, I work for an insurance company
And on the personal note, my Mother may well have dropped me on the floor, but at birth it would more likely have been the midwife.
But as I expect you have never met yours you probably wouldn't be able to find out!!

No it doesnt make a difference, I wasnt passing judgement only making a comment. My sister used to work in Asda and she said that she wouldnt buy a BEKO product as it always gets returned. Didnt realise they were sold elsewhere, i dont buy the brand as is seems abit crap.

what made me laugh is tha fact that everyone slags off insurance companies for ripping people off

i felt ripped off when the tv damaged the wood it was standing on. i did have to make countless phone calls and visits to the store to return the crap tv.

BTW the company did come out and take photos. i made a claim, got made an offer and accepted it, and now i am happy

So something you buy is faulty and it damages something else in your house, and you just shrug and say ho-hum, forget it?

This isn't a moral issue, it's just plain common sense and sensible business practise by the store.

It's not "chavvy" to stand up for yourself.

Yes, and when you need some more money for new toys or shoes etc you can make up a fresh pack of lies and make another fraudulent claim. Glad you're not in a position of trust in any of my affairs.

Absolutely. I would've called myself a tit, removed the marks and put some felt on the offending rubber .

Let's review the 'facts' as presented:

"i havnt ruined anything, a light sanding was all that was needed to remove the marks"

"i have just recieved compensation for a new work surface...3 times the original cost!! and and ive got the money back for the old tv. they had already refunded the original tv but i have been given it back again"

"and now i can use the money to replace my clutch"

Nothing more to add really. Clear your desk and collect your coat.

they made me the offer and it was more than they needed to, whats the problem?
they refunded me the wrong amount for the tv....and?
they could have offered to send someone to my house to sand the wood but they didnt
i have not made any false claims, now do one

Still see no evidence of fraud and certainly don't see how SS has lied.

Something your high horse obviously forgot to point out Martin, is never look a gift horse in the mouth.
