For many it is a lifestyle choice, for others it isnt... Thats my opinion. Many seem to think that talking like you live on helium, mincing and limping the wrist is fashionable. These type of puffs IMO are mentally ill and need counselling.
If my son was one of these I would be having serious words.
If however he was genetically deformed and plain and simply gay, I would be completely mortified, would look back over his childhood and try to blame myself for his metamorphisis into a chutney ferret.
I would try to learn to live with the fact that whilst I love him for being my own flesh and blood, I would never allow his partners in my house, would never condone any relationship of his, would never consider going to his "wedding", would be completely against the concept of them fostering or adopting kids.
In the end I would die knowing I had created a life and knowing I loved my son, but I would take to my grave the dissapointment, embarrasment and anger...

I don't have kids, but for me it would be their life, their choice. At the end of the day, they'd still be my kids.

I've had to accept the fact that my stepson is a catholic, ManUre supporting Ginja. On top of that little concoction, accepting that he's gay (if he turns out to be) would be small fry

From puberty, you are either interested in boys, girls, both or neither....
The only choice is whether you conform to the pressure you are under from friends, family and society to be "normal"

) doesn't make it a conscious decision, as appealing a choice as that may be for some homophobes!

I don't, and I know you don't
- so why be worried for your Kids. As many have stated - it's not something that can be "cured" - and hiding away from your sexuality only leads to sadness.Your kids need you support - no matter what they turn out to be.
If you can't give them that then you have failed one of your primary tasks as a parent.
