Had a nightmare today trying to find local accomadation for a few of us to stay after this trip & Then heading into Alton on the Sunday morning ..
Phoned 5/6 B&B No Availibity Hotels may be to costly for some ?
Or thought of heading towards the " New Forest " After Monkeyworld , This is well on the way to Alton , Try & Find local accomadation there ?
If not will be travelling home after MW , Unless anyone got any other ideas ?

Premier Travel Inn - Salisbury - Central Reservations Tel no = 08702428000
We are booked in for the Sat night (it's about half way between MW & Alton) - Rooms cost £55.
Think there is a pub/restuarant on the site as well...
If you want to check the others around there, use the web site premiertravelinn.com..............

I was having a nose through SN when I came across this thread. I hope you don't mind a non-ESC dropping in, but I thought I would mention the following.
If you guys are going down to MonkeyWorld, you might like to help the guys down their continue their rescue efforts ( as it is a ape rescue centre not a zoo or registered charity)..
We adopt 2 of the 'boys' every year, and each time we make a trip we load up with stuff to give to the centre. It doesn't have to be much, but I know they are always grateful for donations.
You can help by donating goods such as fruit, vegetables, bread, or strands of garlic cloves. Any type of melon is good as all the monkeys and apes love them yet they are not too fattening
They also go through a huge amount of sheets, blankets, towels, heavy-duty dog toys, hessian sacks, rinsed out plastic bottles with tops, unused stamps, and thick ropes.
The chimpanzees in particular like the heavy "feeding *****" or "kong" toys. The keepers fill them with food that the monkeys and apes then have to work for in order to get at the hidden treats.
Thanks for hearing me out - you'll have a great day down there

Only 6 weeks to go Karen!!!
Thanks Little Ginge.
That saved me a lot of typing. Was going to mention this a bit nearer the time. I think it would be great if we could take a little contribution, they really do appreciate even the smallest help. Even just a bag of monkey nuts (No I'm not joking) The smaller primates, i.e. capuchins, love them.
We have taken watermelons and coconuts (Whole sack only £7) in the past. It was great to see the chimps tucking into them. Just ought to mention at this point, you don't get to give the treats to the animals yourself. A bit dangerous when an adult chimp could easily rip your arm off.
I will be getting in touch with the owners of Monkeyworld in the near future to try and organise separate parking for the ESC.
Are we there yet?
Brian.
