Nice to see you tonight. Try and make it regular and sort out a good date and I'll try and bring more of the WYIOC along in future.
Squires was heaving, and loads had left when we got there so it must have been mayhem earlier.

Yup a good turn out, nice that the weather was on our side. I had to leave about 8-30 as the little un was up for nursery. Nice to meet you all tho. Sorry I didn`t get round to chatting to you all, next time perhaps? The food was great btw. I was the chappy with the Bug STi and a load of passengers! Would have loved a ride down to the Milk Bar but circumstances weren`t on my side unfortunately
Looking forward to the next meet, but may see you at TOTB.
Regards
Anthony

Sorry I think I was a bit quiet, very shy you know.
Hope you get the car sorted soon. I was chatting to Killa and he was saying that there is a guy in Elvington who is a member on here and he does services etc. And from what Killa was saying he`s pretty darn good.

Yup I was dreading setting off cos I haven`t driven for ages cos of the back operation etc. God was I relieved once I set off. In the back of my mind I could see the future embarrasment that it may and most probably will have caused me.

Glad everyone enjoyed the evening. Claire sorry didn't catch up with you. I was probably around but (not being very clever) I went and parked at the wrong end of the car park along with all the old Hillman's - perhaps my brain was telling me to stick with all the old codgers!!! Having said that, I did like the look of the Ginetta with the Hillman Imp engine and parts that arrived shortly after us. the owner was a good laugh with some great experiences of going over to Le Mans.
The concensus seems to be that it was a success - given we were starting from scratch (apologies Steven credit due for organising previous meets with Wallis and Gromit!) Corradoboy made a good point that we don't want to clash with other similar meets so we thought that perhaps we should go for a mid-monthly meet next. I suggest we avoid August (middle of the holidays and all) and go for Tuesday 19 September? Does this clash with anything else?
One thing occured to me, only one classic turned up - to be fair a very nice example, but why so few? C'mon all you classic owners you can't be outdone by all those newage-types!!!
Again, great to meet up with you all and look forward to meeting up with you in September, if not before at TOTB!
Cheers!
Nige
p.s. Corradoboy don't forget next time you'll have to take me for a spin in that car of yours! I'm only a gnats whisker away from ordering those AST coilovers!!!!! Pass my thanks on to the rest of the WYIOC lads who also made the trip.
p.p.s By the way, I've never seen so many de-tango'ed headlights. That reminds me, must tell the wife not to stick the roast in with the headlight unit!!!!

Hi all,
Cheers for organising the meet at Buckles last week (was it Nige?), really good to get out and meet a few other Scoob owners. Nige, I was the one chatting with you and Mr Ginetta.
I'd also joined a few for a blast down to Sherburn afterwoods to hook up with the Jap crowd, good Scooby representation down there.
Look forwards to future meets and seeing you all around York.
cheers,
Kev
PS I was the in blue new age, with de-tangoed lights.....parked on far left

Hi YorksScoob,
We had a good chat with s70rjw.
My apologies to ScoobyTurbo and Scott for losing count of the number of classics attending the meet. I still think we could (and should) have seen more!
Not heard any dissenters from the September mid-monthly meet idea so let's go for it.
See you all soon.
Thanks again to those that came along.
