I use many products on the motor, best place to look is www.detailingworld.co.uk, this place will give you great advice on products and proccess. Personally after purchasing a Porter Cable (machine polisher) i can now say it will out perform any products applied by hand.

Your Scooby looks in great condition already, black is a nightmare to keep clean though. Personally i'd get yourself a good Quick Detailer to keep it looking tip top between washes.
