right i proberbly won't have the car by this event

but what i can offer is a caravan 5 berther with awning (sorry about the Spelling) we could use the electric's so we can get the tv/dvd player going

all in all we can sleep about 10 with 2 dbl beds in the van and six persons in the awning we would also have fridge cookers running water so there would be not much on the roughing it side .. all i do ask is that its my parents van tent so we would have to look after it

let me know if your intrested in this idea and as far as the catering goes i'll sort something no probs

LWV have stated that there is no camping on the venue at all im affraid.

But, less than 5 miles away, i have arranged a deal with a local site to allow any NBO supporters on, no matter if its all male or mixed groups. It has everything you will need, pub close by, showers, electricity shop and so on. Tanke a look at the NBO website

http://www.northernbigone.co.uk/24.html

So far i have had little response, but if there are people looking for a site, let me know or give them a call

Cheers

Away?!?!?

You must be thinking of Dave (Corradoboy)

I'm self employed, so don't know the meaning of the word 'holiday'

Where can I find the TTS logo? What size? (Usually do 80% size for Scoobyclinic with their front-mount conversions. They look okay, not too daft, and certainly doesn't shout 'pull me' to the Ecilops.

I'm letting Al run this show as I'm gonna be away on mi jollies soon, but it would be cool to have all us WYIOC peeps meet up at maybe 9.15 or so at the TP in readiness for the 10am rendezvous with the other clubs (who haven't been very forthcoming in saying they will meet up BTW (Al, get the thumbscrews). Not sure whether those on the stand need to be there earlier or anything either

Al, sort it mate

Stand will be pretty easy to sort out,

I think a firm stick is called for, so many new members posted for the scooby live event we would bust out on this one, and some have not posted since

Sorry guys I dont mean this to sound beachy, but spaces are indeed limited on the stand for this one, so I feel long term members and those that actually turn up to our meets regularly and additionally have paid there subs for this year will get first options on stand parking.

I am not too clued up on where we are at, with times and meetings as yet, but will squat up and give Al a hand sorting some of this out.

I thinks its only fair that active members get first refusal on Stand spaces and those with special cars like:- yellow ones, STI's (uk) JDM, 22B's type20, Modded, Clean, Really mucky, Atoms, ok ok, pretty much everything
If we had a better turn out from some of the newbies and indeed some of the oldies,we would be in a better position to try and get a bigger club stand.

This in no way will effect the event because there is ample parking for all at the event, just the stand places that are limited.

Rest assured if they will fit they will fit

I am pretty sure most of you will agree, a big part of the day is actually the huge convoy up there and being a part of that.

Ali, pop over to Dave's thread and second your boss Mick... this will be your first formal duty as 'Under Secretary to the Deputy Event Secretary to the Main Events Secretary...'

Mick.

Couldn't agree more. We've always worked that Policy and there's always been a small membership that turn up a few times and leave for a variety of reasons...

Dan, Joe & our newest attendee Bob seem in exactly the right mould and I'm sure will go on to become well established & valued members... Just like James and everyone else did. Spratty, Danny and the others who've showed great interest just have to come along and establish themselves.

Dave and I have gone through the same process for the Prodrive trip. We're strictly limited in numbers so have to make the difficult decision of selecting those with the right track record in attendences and involvement... I don't think any newer member would want it otherwise...

Lordharding has put us down as one of the bigger stands, so we're going to get the space that is due. My list shows how big we can get if everyone puts in the attendences, but other factors rule that out... It is obvious from the attendences who will get first refusal.

Once everyone posts their intentions, and if we get over 16 cars, then the selection process begins. If it's under 16, then we have no work to do apart from arranging them nicely..

With your big stick and my diplomatic passport (framed), I believe we'll have the organisation just right in Dave's absence... Thanks for stepping up..

Not sure if its any help guys, but the TTS lads on the stand will be needing to set off earlier in order to have the stand ready for the arrival of the convoys....

Thats where the camping could really come nto its own.

Alan, if you want, when and if you get a clear idea of numbers, pass them onto me and i will sort that out for you no bother if you want

Cheers

Dan.. yes it does. It also shows that you have the odd screw loose... But we like that

Simon... Either way mate. The campers are going for the beer, food and male bonding... NO APPLE!! The campers will be at the gates early doors to start the erections... But standees will have a problem if they go with the main convoy as they'll be getting there an hour aftre the stand sare up. It will also give the TTS lads a headache if they have to separate a few from the 100's of scoobs coming in.

My reccomendation will be for any standee that isn't camping to be there before 10. The main convoy will be turning up about 11. HTH...

John.. Will do Though it does look lie we'll have a single camper van with awning... We'll just sleep up to 16 inside that!

To date:-

Stand car places were pre-selected and have been allocated appolagies for those who have not made it this year. For those selected to go on the stand, you need to be able to drive on the stand before 11am and leave it their until later on (gone 2:30).

Anyone not on the stand can park in the normal arena, and those of you who went last year will know that club and general parking or all in the same field.

So, we just need a nice simple list of who's attending and anyone whose considering camping over on the Saturday night... Pop your name down as Confirmed and I'll make you bold...

Remember this is a great day out and we'd like to have a good turn out..

Established, new and a few interested Club members are listed below (in no particular order).

Those in bold are confirmed as attending

and those in blue camping and red stand

My apologies if I've missed your name off, got your name wrong or got you confused with someone else but this was a tough list to compile as I've no records apart from memory (failing) and a list those of those who've paid subs..

Ping me and I'll add you after apologising profusely...

The guys who are camping will be setting off from the camping site 5 miles from the venue, i assume these guys and gals will be on stand set up duty

The schedule for the Mega convoy goes something like this:-

09.45am - Meet other regions at Ferrybridge (other regions still to confirm)

10.20am - Depart Ferybridge

11am - Arrive at NBO

Schedule for Stand cars:-

08:45. - Meet TP

09.00 - Depart TP (straight up to LW)

10.00am arrive Venue (plenty of time to assist in build and set cars out all pretty )

When the list is decided, maybe have a "mini convoy" for the chosen ones then?

I seem to have been demoted off the stand Must be to do with my boring, plain looking WRX What a waste of money having it machine polished

BTW, if I may suggest that the stand people still meet with the TP crowd from 9.15am, but set off at 9.30 sharp up to LW, the rest of the convoy can leave at 9.50 to get to Ferrybridge at 10am for the MEGA CONVOY You will have to keep up pressure in all the regions to ensure they all get the right end of the stick and don't go making their own alternative arrangements.
