I didn't realise that Daniel-S is a poxy teenager It explains his posts, being a kid who hasn't even started shaving yet!!

Is he the son of someone at scoobycity then? Don't understand - haven't we got a minimum age to post on here?? Lets make it 35years PLUS .... anyone younger just hasn't got a clue

Of course I am ...... CockLinks are for the Brain Dead ......

£60 a Gallon Oil falls into the same group too ... halfwits buy it

Trouble is that there are those on here who live their lives terrified that their car will blow up at any moment - unless they carry out certain expensive rituals!! Kiddies under the age of 35 mainly ...... just left mummy and daddy probably!

All I would like to know Pete, is at what age does it become acceptable to put a tow bar on a scoob, and what other symptoms may be present so I can look out for them!!

They make fantastic towcars ..... so anytime is good for a towbar ..... age hardly comes into it.

I guess that 20 year olds would own JetSkis and Speedboats?? To do that properly you need a TowBar.

CockLinks and suchlike are useless - however old you are!!

I dont think its an "age" related thing mate,i think its more a "state" of mind, you know when you get too tight to go away and stay in a hotel, you just buy yourself a caravan/trailer tent and go and block up the A roads for a weekend.

Infact Pete you could do with a cocklink on your car to make sure when you are pulling a caravan, with the extra load on the engine and all,you would soon see if you were detting.

You would also benefit from a higher quality oil aswell if you're towing, not only in the engine but also in the diffs.

I ain't likely to happen ...... no PROPER engineer would fit such a device!!

Oilman makes £40 a gallon out of the run of the mill poster on here! lol
If anyone questions this they get pounced on BIG TIME!

But in any subaru owners manual it states 10/50 or 15/40 etc.... Available from any motor factors for £20 a gallon......
So why does someone like pete get such a hard time for stating the facts?
I dont necessarily disagree with you, or some of Pete's observations about uneccessay expenditure (for example, I don't own a knocklink because I'm unconvinced of their worth, I own a data monitor instead. I also don't spend a fortune on oil).

However if he put his point across in a less confrontational way, people might listen to his opinions rather than adding him to their ignore list.

And I thought you had been quiet for a while; you've been picking scraps with people on here!
It makes me smile.

Just a touch of tech please.

were Knocklinks 'invented' in the early days of imported Imprezas due to people running those cars ignorantly on unleaded and getting lots of det under load?
Now the Impreza population are so much better informed/wiser, is there a need for such things as most understand a good re-map fixes all that.

Please don't slay me Pete, but are many Knock links sold nowadays?

I'll check this thread in a few weeks time.

Graham

CockLinks were invented to fill a gap in the market that exists ..... it's the gap that is filled by owners who want something, anything, to make their chosen car appear really 'special' to the GirlFriend, Mummy and Daddy, Geeky mates, etc.

Just imagine how 'special' a car must be if it needs Lights and stuff to monitor it!! WOWIE!!! a 'special' car ............... owned and driven by a 'special' person who has issues!!

Now, those that don't feel the desire to lift themselves in a fake way above the rest of the Impreza Owners simply don't bother.

I would guess that those who have CockLinks are in their 20's, maybe a few late developers in their 30's, none in their 40's unless they still live with Mummy and Daddy ............................. it's an age/maturity thing.
