Imagine my surprise at the prices, £5 for an England cap and a measly £2 for an Italian one. Only difference between the two being the small national badge at the front.
Anyway, they can stuff their caps. Pure profiteering I say.

The point, surely; is that ASDA are profiteering and not whether £5 for a baseball cap is a fair price? £2 would appear to be a far fairer price to me.....

Jesus christ how tight can someone be??
We only make 15% profit on that cap and everything else England/World Cup related is much cheaper than anyone else in the market (2 ****ty flags for your car for a pound).
How many caps have you bought for less than 5 quid? The reason why the other caps (Italian, Brazilian, Scottish) ones are cheaper is because they are just an add-on for the world cup, the England caps are the main ones.
Dont buy it if you think its too much money

Your reasoning for why the England caps are more expensive doesn't make sense. Pure profiteering.
And caps and chavs? Try driving an Elise with the hood off in the blazing sun.

Actually you're wrong. JJB shirts are 3 quid cheaper than yours and I've previously seen similar England caps in Tesco for 3.50. And if you bother to read my posts properly you'll see it's a principle matter not a 'tight' matter.

I got what you were saying but it went in one ear and out of the other due to the trivial nature! All companies are here to make money and yes they probably cost the same to produce as the others BUT the suppliers add their 'supply and demand' extra charge on aswell because they are england caps.

Depending on the size of the store they will have a budget of around 10-15k for waste. This is to include returns (non food), all damaged food and marked down stock. What you will find is that of that 18k you will only actually throw around 4k in the bin.
