that prodrive p2 on top gear looked alright and sounded good but it would have been better if they had made it with an impreza body but give the body a custom kit

Is this gonna be the 'countryside' version of Getaway in Stockholm??

Getaway up the Snake, perhaps?

You could do a whole series like the Carry On films - Getaway Over the CatnFiddle, Getaway in Stockport or Getaway in Salford ( I think Jamie Theakston has already done the last one though!!)

Sorry Pete!!

Only messing Chris - sorry to muck up your thread. I do see where your 'vision' is headed though.

Looks good.

One point though. I think the music is fairly appropriate, but there must be a group out there somewhere that's done "Queen of the Snake?!"

Also, if I was driving up the Snake, and a man stood in a field started filming me, i'd turn round and ask him what the hell he was doing!

must say chris i think MRS wilkinson did a bloody great job keeping the camera so still while hangin out of the back window you can use my wagon like they do on top gear and have someone in the boot filming with the tail gate open? no problem at all ill enjoy the day out as ive never been over the SNAKE before and feel like myself and my car are missing something special

moneys, top gear would be closed down instanly if they had people hanging out the back of wagons!
I'm sure they use special trucks and vans to do the filming out of, and spend a fortune on suction mounts and camera gear in the process

I'm sure I've seen shadows of the camera car in shot before and it looked like nothing more than an estate with the back door open! Wouldn't fancy being slung about on The Snake without some form of safety rope though.

Sorry to upset you moneys, but the thought of tying someone to the interior of the open back of a wagon, along the snake pass of all places, really makes me shiver with fear! God knows what the police would think of our antics if we were caught, and god help the poor sod tied up in the back if there was a shunt of any kind
I do hope your kidding about all this

The shots from the back of the cars are done at slow speed then speeded up and a differnt sound track put on them. The high speed on the track stuff the camera has special mountings and the camera man is normally strapped in .

We have had a firecat filmed like this

right this is my final offer! my idea is for some videoing from in front of you so if someone is in the back of my wagon (they can even sit in the back seat and just have the tailgate open) and videos you behind at a reasonable speed , then what you can do is speed it up like youve done on the video you have already made of the cars driving past. now i personally think its a good idea and very safe so if you want my help just let me know ok chris?

Massive thanks for the offer moneys, and the first oppurtunity I get I will show you the snake pass But you seem to have a rather unhealthy obsession now with getting someone in the boot of your wagon Drop it mate, really. Apologies and all that, but I don't feel the urge to film out the back of your car with an open tailgate, now if you've got a sunroof, thats a different story
