Cheating?

Non of the tweaks above _I_ would call cheating although changing the skins is getting close. The first think I alway do on cs_italy is shoot the radio

Looked at installing anti cheating measures on my server but I hope that everyone that uses it would respect the others and not use cheats. When the anti-cheating code is added into HL/CS it will be enabled. Anyone abusing the server will be ban.

People getting shot by there own team mates is a faq of life. Get used to it! Servers should be configured to give penalties to the shouting party by either making them sit out the next round or giving them double damage etc.

A good CS player can tell the difference between CT/T and not walk infront of aimed guns. (I'm not there yet )

I don't agree with automatic penalties. Grens can hit people thr roofs/walls etc when they haven't got much health. I prefer FF to b on though, it is more realistic.

You do get clowns just TKing all the time, so an admin should be available to boot them off.

im glad im not the only one using skins then, makes it soooo much easier if t's are white and ct's are black for example (and of course hossie dont wear much at all )

ps- i used a skin for the ak47 for a while but it made it look like something from an arnie flick- so big i couldnt see round it!!! now i just stick to my gold plated d/eagle (like face off!) which now souns like a grenade launcher

Just to clarify:

Grenades killing your own team should not have automatic punishment unless its abused. You get a warning when one is lobbed s to bad!

Ended up having a good session last night, not my usual lag, although my ping was poor - i think on one map all 4 people on the other team pings added together was still better then mine, but thats lifes i guess using 56k.

Hopefully be around tonight on orbvs server if its up a running, about 9pm??

I've put the file your having problems with on the same site as the CS stat. Backup your old copy and replace it with this new / correct copy.

If that does not work how knows what the problem is.

Did you ever try creating a script to attach to the server enabling you to change maps? (the icq message) Thats a bit wierd as when you were connected to the server last night you were not listed using the 'status' command.

I didn't try to connect to your server last night ast the connection icon was a red "?" and a view info showed no-one on it.

Most connections on UK2.net and barrysworld had 5 or 6 green dots, but ping was rubbish on all of them.

I have written a snotty e-mail to BTOpenwound, but don't know why I bothered.

There were 6 people on the server last night making the link saturated so queries would be very slow.

Does anyone have a 256k link bi directional or above link that needs to be utilised between 6 & 11pm? The latency on 512/256kps ADSL has a two high so can not be used.

soz i dod not stay long but have not had such a laggy game for a long time.

If you want to get on earlier you are going to have to change your eating habits. Face it a BBQ every night just takes too long to set up and cook your food +1hr. Try a microwave, all done in 10 mins max .
