and also, what are we on this world but to get laid?

as long as you're not wearing a G-shock or a calculator watch, your shoes and haircut will make more of a difference with the ladies than the price difference between a 100 quid diesel watch and a 3 grand rolex.

Watches are so passé.

I'd no more recognise someone's watch than their shoelaces.

What a priggish comment.

Although you have a point if the watch is being worn for 'effect'.

Explain how a functional timepiece is 'passe'? (if you can be arsed)

I have a watch some people would probably assume I bought to impress others, in reality it was a backhander that I haven't cashed in yet. Still it's amusing to see a certain class of person with eyeballs out on stalks when they clock it.
Also ensures test drives of tasty cars with fewer questions asked.........pretty sad really........but not 'passe'.

It was a joke. Passé means behind the times, doesn't it? It's a pune, or play on words. You can buy a very functional timepiece for a tenner - spending two grand plus on one can only be done for effect.

I already had an idea what 'passe' means.

What is 'passe', old bean, is obviously you.

Bling is still in, tragically enough.

I wasn't.

What a complex individual you must be. Either that or an individual with complexes.

Fooking great spoiler, gold wheels and whale-like scoop - surely only for effect

Bought my watch for the same reason I bought a Scooby, I wanted one/I am a flash ****

Delete as appropriate

Check out www.silvermans.co.uk for some functional military style watches.

mine's titanium too

my requirements were accurate, nice looking, crystal face and no battery.

took me about a week to realise the big face was just stop watch and i effectively had a laydeees sized watch dial in there lol

i want one of these now, but the gf thinks it's too geeky having a full dive computer/watch

I never went for the Arctura in the end - not sure which one it was but it had a "proper" full size face. Not Kinetic unfortunately, I wanted one but a mate of mine has had a couple and said they only seem to last a couple of years.

only £199 - you could have 2 of them.
