I think he's just upset that most people on here don't share his point of view.

They (the Police) are probably mature family men who have their peace destroyed by Chavs in cars with loud music and loud exhausts - so, they thought they would annoy YOU a little ..... I'm so glad it worked!! Ha Ha Ha!!

You don't like it when you are told the truth - not my problem, it's YOURS!!

Act sensibly on the roads and you will be OK, the people have turned, they are standing up, Chavs are NOT welcome ...... ANYWHERE!!!

anyone else though
thanks
The public highway laws and MOT tests regulations do actually differ..

For example your car can pass an MOT with the wheels protruding from the widest point of body work (and more than 2" from the surrounding body work) (or something along those lines) but a copper in a bad mood can have you up for driving a vehicle in a dangerous condition.

Same with exhausts, its down to the discretion of the tester *BUT* you could still be charged with a public nuisance offence if its above a certain volume and when it comes to vehicles two strike's and in the crusher she goes.

Your mrs must have run off with a 'chav' you're very passionate (obsessed) with them it seems.

Ok read this bit though and think before you act a ****.

When i was stopped, and asked if they can check my exhaust, He simply jumped in, revved it up to 4k and said wooooooah now laddy, Way too noisey.

How can you tell me its 'illegal' without a real test, No numbers to -show- me its illegal? Also it's the ministry on a purge, Not the actual police.

Got any sensible replies now, Not your usual 'funny' stuff?

Calm down pete!!! I can see you going red already!!

If its not been measured you can take it further, not a wise choice though.

Agreed, Im sure they'll say lets check it then.

I just need to go hand in the producer/new mot now and see what they say. Know if anything else can come of it, or do they simply sign a bit of paper and take off this prohibition? Or will they make me bring the car somewhere to have it all checked over?

Thanks.

I repeat, again, we don't want your kind on the roads anymore .... THATS why he gave you the run-around and I applaud him!!

Doesn't matter if its PC or against your Human Rights - loud cars ruin my peaceful enjoyment ...... anyone who can strike back has my FULL backing!!

Well im afraid mate 'my kind' are going to stick around for good, You have no special right over the roads, nor do i so id actually appreciate it if you just stfu.
I dont drive like a selfish person, as i dont expect anyone else to. I get just as annoyed with idiot drivers as you.
Im a bloke who likes his music and cars, if you think im a chav, Thats fine with me, but im not changing things i like for the sake of a *****, sorry.

to be honest how can they say its too loud without testing it? if it was me i would of told him on the spot that he cant do that and to trundle off and find get some testing equipment but my car is fully legal apart from a new back box so i have nothing to hide so it just depends on what u have to hide from the traffic examiner. did they have an police with them?

and turbojay stop kicking off he is only having a laugh with u

Didn't TurboJay mention he was 'probed' in his first post? I'm assuming he was tested, or then again maybe all the cruisers were getting a good probing

There was a bit about this in the free MK paper last night. Using stop & checks & PNR number plate readers they recovered 1 stolen car, 6+ with motoring / other convictions o/s & 20+ other 'faults' A good nights work tbh & I for one support this kind of policing. It was set up as in the last month road racing has increased with more & more being stopped at over 100mph on the grid roads.

You can please some of the people all of the time, all of the people some of the time but you can never all of the people on Scoobynet any of the time.

Police checks to remove illegal and stolen cars sounds like a good idea to me too!

Im not kicking off at all, Im just saying..

The car is totally legal otherwise, apart from the noiseyness.
Aye he did have an officer with him.
Original probe joke there... AHAHHAAHAH etc

No the car wasnt actually probed, He told me he was going to, then just jumped in and revved it.
(which was also being run in, which pissed me off even more)

Jay.

The overriding issue is responsible policing nobody is saying that unsafe car should be allowed to be on the road but just because they are having a meet up does not mean they should be singled out, if they were having random checks then that would be ok with me (looking For safety issues not just easy targets)

The chances of a group of car enthusiasts having a unsafe car (which they probably have spent lots of money on) is relatively low compared to some random old car that’s probably not been serviced or maintained properly and there are loads of them on the road so why not pull a random selection ?????

I only drive my scoob at 30mph, and i've changed my exhaust for the one off the wifes old Austin Alegro, and i use budgie droppings for fuel, and i've removed that horrid, nasty boxer engine thing and replaced it with one from a sewing machine (but it has got a dump valve, so i hope this don't go upsetting you lot) and i've had it sprayed chocolate brown because that regulation blue was just too chavi.
People that come on here like that Lewis chap are just hooligan chavs that are giving the ordinary Scoob enthusiast like myself a bad name down at Tescos.

Your son was told to fix an illegal modification to his car which endangers him and other road users. The police were bang on with this
Your son could have pulled out one night without seeing another car and BAM your feeding your son through a straw for the rest of your natural.
The police did him a favour.
