I just found out yesterday that I need to sell my 1999 Turbo. I'd "leant" it to a friend whilst I've been out of the country the last ten months and now it appears I'm not coming home so the car's going..... Which is gutting for me as it's what I miss most!
Anyway, I digress.
From just having a look around the last few hours, the values seem very low as does the interest in general. I would like about 6k for mine as it's spotless and completely unmodded, but I'm thinking I'll be lucky to get 5k the way things look......
Are you advertising it elsewhere? Have you got it in the cars section of For Sale as well mate?
Autotrader is absolutely full of Impreza turbos by the look of it at the moment....
good luck.....

the only thing wrong with your ad is the price, plain and simple.
people might say its worth £7k but they aint buying it and nor is anybody else.If you did a test and put it on piston heads for £5k u will see the difference !!
crap i know but hey, you might get £7k in the end, but expect a good 4-5 month wait.
good luck........

I said its worth 7k. And I still think it is!
I bought a MY00 about 4 months ago for £5k.
But it had 95k on the clock, and it wasn't in such good nick.
If you want to sell quickly then reduce the price, otherwise don't

Just to add in my 2p. I don't agree with the idea that you will sell the car in the end at a higher price. Firstly, the car is getting older during the extended wait. Also, why is someone going to pay over the odds when there will certainly be another similar car (i.e. of similar age, condition, mileage and spec) but at a lower price? I sold two newage WRXs in the last 3 months and both sold quickly due to the keen pricing. But this is digressing, I would recommend you put up more photos of the car, especially the engine bay and a (clean) interior. I would also recommend returning the original airbox. Hope this helps.

I have the orginal air box, and the back seats have rarely been sat in, I feel this is a fair price for my car, taking into account the milage servicing etc, As I have said before I am not worried if I sell her or not, I just thought someone somwhere would like a Subaru that has not been messed about with or hammered into the ground.
Cheers
