Its threads like this that make people hate Scoob's......... and make people laugh. For christ sake, someone makes a point about showing up arrogant people in so-called fast cars and he gets shot down for it.

If you dont agree fine, thats no need to call him a ****. You *****.

I didn't call him anything. I said why can't people say he sounds like a ****, if they think that's what he sounds like.

P.S. I think he sounds like a ****!

Ermmmmmm, not to up on my porshe models, like subarus far to many variants It was an 05 plate I think - 4 exhausts so possibly a 996 turbo (although isn't this also a 911?).

I didn't say that you did I was generalising - People are quick to start name calling on here safe in the knowledge that they are sat behind a computer 100 miles away. If you want to let everyone know that you think he's a **** then good for you, this is a public forum after all.

Wow got to say you wont get too many car buffs who cant recognis a Porsche.

Mmmm after you passed this turbo Porsche (who was obviously giving it the beans as they are all soo insecure about their £80,000 cars) did you find yourself lying in your bed tucking into a bowl of corn flakes.

Sorry mate, but where exactly did I confess to being a car buff - I knew it was a porsche, just wasn't sure as to the exact model i.e. 996, 997, etc. Like I said, there are quite a few porsche variants and not being a huge fan of them I wasn't sure.

Yes he was giving it beans, as he planted his foot on the dual carriage and roundabout as soon as he saw me approach behind - and before you get lairy I wasn't sitting up his **** and baiting him.

FPMSL - was I sitting in my bed tucking into cornflakes? - as an initial point I don't like cornflakes, secondly I don't eat in bed - far too messy, thirdly I'd suggest you find out exactly what car I drive before claiming that I'm some sort of school boy dreamer, finally, my passenger (who was mapping the car at the time and happens to be a very well respected member of scoobynet and 22b.com) can vouch for my comments.

Frankly I'd rather have the ST if I was to choose between that and a modded scoob. Even though it is slower.

Wtf cornflakes?

But you were sure it was a turbo? And an '05 turbo has, what, 420-450bhp?

I thought the turbo's had 2 twin pipes at the back? It certainly looked like a tubo, maybe he just had a kit on it? So what if it had 420-450 bhp!! I'm not normally one for giving it large, but that's well over 100 bhp down on me, like the bloke above, maybe you should check what I drive before acusing me of talking bull .

So what's the big deal in getting past a car with less power?

No big deal. See my first post on page 2. Sometimes puts a smile on my face to out perform an expensive supercar that's all. Is it childish? Yes, but honestly I don't care what you think so I'll leave you to blitzing 1.6 astras

You are obviously very easily confused I replied out of good manners really. You asked me a direct question, it would have been rude not to reply.

Well thank you most kindly. There aren't enough good manners these days. So, since no-one else has asked, what car do you have?

R33 Skyline - it is heavy, but has enough power to compensate for that

How many people when in this situation only use '' 1/2 throttle then 3/4 throttle ''to waste somebody, thats the bullsh#t part for me.

When the lights go Green your bury your right foot for all its worth, i have modded my mates 01 Bugeye to 330BHP/330lbs and it doesnt do sh#t until over 3000 rpm and that takes more than 3/4 throttle at the lights to launch it.

So admit it, you buried the peddle into the carpet until you had wasted the ST and then laughed to yourself as you backed off.

you do not need to launch these cars hard to be able to pass someone that has already set off as stated. 3/4 throttle is 5.6k rpm probably where tripples torque and HP are sitting pretty so to go through three gears at this rpm would mean that he would go past a car with 100bhp less than him. Its simple maths

You can use as many smilies as you want, i have launched non standard Scoobies off the line many a time, i'm not saying you sit at 5-6k rpm waiting for them to go green but again you dont p#ss about with 1/2 or 3/4 throttle, you get the car moving and then gun it, its as simple as that.

Where not talking 2 feet of travel on the go pedal here.OOOH let me think, was that all the way down of maybe an 1/8 off the floor or it could have been a full inch.
Who cares he floored it and won, that is my point.

See zippy thats where you're wrong........
You don't have to plant it.....infact it's much more fun controlled (you know that word?) because you know you've got more to go if needed, which it wasn't. You'll get this stage of driving at some point don't worry......

Hey, you wanna jump on the wagon and call me a ****, go for it.........nice to be orginal.........but you wouldn't dare say it to my face, that I guarantee because like it's been said, lots of safety doing it on the pc isn't it.....
people like you do make me laugh....Wy not come down to a meet??

I slated the focus st because it was slow...and bright orange!!
end of........

now toys back in the pram people and stop being so ******* boring!!

NSO4, not bad matey.........still tearing up tarmac at every chance!
Ok no more ripping off of Master Card.............today

And alloy..........you gotta take me out for a blast with the new fig's......
