What's the point in saving Walcott for the later stages, if we end up losing early on due to a lack of cohesion up front

It's Jamie Carragher, and, to be honest, it never looked likely to be anyone else.
I'm going for 3-0 too, Pete, but that'll be the final score.
Rooney will come on for the last 20 minutes and hit the bar.
It's time to shine.

Average performance, but a step up from games 1 & 2.
Owen Hargreaves played well, and will start against Ecuador. We will be playing either 3-5-2 or 4-1-4-1.
Fingers crossed.

What an over-paid set of wasters
We deserved to have lost 5-2. Where was our marking at set pieces? Probably counting their wages. *******.
Anybody who thinks we can win the tournament needs sectioning.

I dont 'rate' Hargreaves, but tonight , he played bloody well.. got stuck in, and will more than likely start on Sunday given that performance.

Don't tell me he is one of the best midfielders England has to offer because there is no way that would stand up in court!

Beckham was the one missing the first headers on numerous occassions. Joe Cole played well but we just lack width with him not being left footed and willing to take people on.
Rooney caused them loads of problems but he was quiet in the second half and did look knackered.
A good day for my fantasy team - Klose and J.Cole
Simon.

I'm no fan of Hargreaves (not at all), and I'd much prefer to see Carrick in there, but tonight, he showed us the spirit we need.
Beckham was too lax when defending, Lampard didn't give us anything, our back four were out of touch with the game, and Crouch means we play the long ball when we should be playing it about.
My biggest concern is what we're going to do up top. If we play 4-5-1, Rooney will be too withdrawn to make an impact, and if we go with 4-4-2, we'll end up playing the long ball, something we should avoid.
Doesn't look good, guys.

But I agree with you on Beckham's performance and as for Crouch, Christ on a bike, he's a long-legged spastic who scored a hatrick against some ganga smoking reggae boyz. Wow! Defoe was robbed

Lennon changed the game against T&T Beckham's done for me as a right winger/midfielder. Sven needs to stop licking his ring piece & drop him. Theres only 1 man for that captain's arm band "Stevie Gerrard" a true leader & 1 of only 2 world class players we got.
