This thread has gone from being a highly dodgy "oh no, not this again" thread, to an extremely interesting and enjoyable one with many intelligent and thoughtful posts.
Well done, everybody.
Well done, everybody.

Reading some of these posts made me feel good in the respect that I am not the only one but ashamed in many a sense that I get wound up by something so incredibly trivial as someone else's bad manners on the road.
Thoughts and opinions are nothing without action so I stayed calm today and just enjoyed my car and didn't act if I got wound up by someone else's stupidity.

One of my workmates pointed out that I was driving like an old man today, and I got the same comment a few months back from someone else. Well, being a typical bloke, I can only concentrate on one or two things at a time, and on both occasions would have been involved in singing along to the iPod (and I mean singing, as in rehearsing songs prior to playing them with my band), or drumming on the steering wheel and footrest (because in the car the bass drum pedal is to the left of the clutch, of course) while also driving the car.
That's quite normal behaviour in the car for me, and while all that's going on, there's no chance of me engaging in any kind of bait taking.

Must admit - used to take the bait all the time.
These days being a old man ( just turned 30) - dont bother anymore - in fact do the opposite - slow right down - especially on the motorway when some **** up my chuff.
Dont have anything to prove - and besides with 450BHP under the right foot - if i wanted to I could - thats the point

All it takes for the armies of the night to triumph is that good men do nothing.
I think I've made a chimaera out of two quotes there, but the sentiment's right.
It's so easy on scoobynet to sit back and let the feejits have their way with the text-speak, the stupid styling mods and the, frankly, gobsmacking lack of any sort of maturity, because it's too much trouble. I might have a truly sad 40k posts, I might be an insufferable **** sometimes, but I'm speaking up for the Subaru owners who don't have the will to be outspoken.
