Several options :-

1. Leave it as is.
2. Remove sticker.

or

Put one the other side. Then :-

1. Run ducting to brakes.
2. Run ducting to intercooler.
3. Use as drink holder.

HMM

might do?

Might get some small STI's made up to go at the bottom of the covers (under the intake) so theyre both the same.

I would have though big puddles / fords could cause an issue if driven through at high speed (i.e. force high volumes of water in) but not rain. Did something similar on my old predule.

the last thing you want to mix with air is copious amounts of H2O !!!

I meant having a ram air effect, ducted to the air filter (never went near puddles or fords)

The intake scoop I had sat out of sight, just on the underside of the front bumper.

Been for a mapping sesion today chaps and the improvement is huge,

example if the ambient temp was 18 deg we would be seeing over 40+ deg at the maf,
since fitting the ram port today the ambient was 23 deg and we were seeing 24 at the maf..... Thats a drop of over 16 DEG!!!

The results speak for themselves, even on a scortching day im able to run full boost at much lower temps. Due to this we were able to add more boost in the middle and still hold good temps. Shaved another few tenths of a second off the in gear times and the extra grunt is very noticeable

frayz - looks like a good mod

been considering this after chatting to zak

I am not sure I can run more boost though - is there any benefit of doing this other than allowing you to map for these lower intake temps?

The other option for me is to use the standard wrx front fog surrounds on the 06 to form funnels for brake cooling.... might be more worthwhile.
