Absolutely gutted for you!
I'd be going berserk if it were my baby with paint stripper over her!
Hate to say it, but it's been said before in vandalism posts, a car like a Scoob has got to be in a garage these days. When i visit family or friends i even use their drives and ask them to block me in. It's not too much to ask really.
No chance of renting a lock up nearby if you not got your own? Would be devastated for you if once it all repaired said ''knobber'' sees your car looking all sexy again and thinks "they can obviously afford this (and sad little peasant me can't) so i'll do it with keys this time..."
All the best, hope you enjoy driving her again real soon!

sorry to here about the car the insurance will not write the car off trust me my cars a 03 bugeye worth about £9000 with 7000 worth of damage and its being repaired
as far as the police goes thats the way they are these days /Just as i was accepted in the west yorkshire force my car was broke into but the alarm did not go off ,at the same time i went down stairs to the toilet and glanced out of my living room window to see a women sat in the back of my car removing my radio ...... so i rang the police to get this responce theres nobody avalible at this time but heres your crime no. to which i responded by sayin what do you mean crime no. theres sombody in my fooking car! ..... the next the police came to see me to take a statement...no to look at the car.... no but to summons me for bad language
so i sent a letter to the police with some strong words and im still a chef not a police man
once again sorry to here of the bad news with the car hope you get it sorted

Thanks for all the kind words everyone.
I am taking it to the insurance approved garage tomorrow where they are going to give it the once over and prepare a quote for the insurance. Hopefully it wont be written off but if it is then we will (hopefully) be able to buy it back.
Some good news, I went the the council and they are going to rent me a lock up garage near where I live. So some good has come of it.

The reason like i said before is neither here or there, just ******* annoying there's people in the world that have no respect for someone else's property.

I considered cctv a little while ago, but decided it was too expensive, too much hassle etc. But on ebay you can get some realistic dummy cameras that might just make people think twice.

Can't put into words my feelings for these scummy people BTW.
