Sara, it's not OK and I'm not accepting it as a normal thing.
But I'm really glad you're OK and that, at the end of the day, it's 'only' property and not personal injury.
Still hope the thieving scumbags end up injecting drain cleaner and so receive the punishment they so richly deserve...

Sad thing is that all this sort of crime would stop if there werent people around who would buy a dodgy Satnav down the pub or on Ebay 'Err, yeah mate, it is mine but I lost the mounting bracket, box and instructions'
A lot of people dont seem to see the connection between them buying stolen goods, and the people who go out and steal them, as long as they get a bargain they dont care, but they'd be the first ones complaining if their stereo got stolen from their car.

Sorry to hear about this Sara.

When I leave my car, the face comes off the stereo and into the glove box, and there's nothing else worth nicking in there.
Fortunately, I can't think of anything worse than a computer telling me where to go when I'm driving, so I'm never likely to get satnav.

Sara you should count yourself lucky. I got up yesterday to go to work and i have had paintstipper poured all over my Subaru. It is going to cost about £2000 to fix. It is still driveable but I dont want to drive it looking like that.

Sorry to hear that Sara. Where abouts did you have the satnav positioned in the car? We just moved ours from the side window to the middle of the windscreen (mainly because of the contacts getting wet when we opened the door!) but it is harder to reach now. I do sometimes wonder what could happen if I have the roof down and something like that happens so I always drive with the doors locked and all the windows up (car salesman actually called it 'Luton mode'!!) when the roof is down. Don't think I'd ever put the roof down in Luton though.
