I do sometimes wonder what could happen if I have the roof down and something like that happens so I always drive with the doors locked and all the windows up (car salesman actually called it 'Luton mode'!!) when the roof is down. Don't think I'd ever put the roof down in Luton though.
i went back there today as i had to go to B&Q again and i thought i saw one of the blokes, but then they all look the bladdy same. i remember that the bloke had really tiny ears that took my unit

I am so sorry to here this Sara. Luton, and well any where in the world you have to be very carefull of this type of thing esp. sat nav. These type of hi tech fancy gagets are highly sort after.
These type of dash gagets, sat nav, road angle etc... you want to hide them in the ccar, find a place where you can still read the display, but out of sight from theiving scum. Or if not, carry around a very big security guy with you.

I am really sorry to hear about that Sara, we are becoming an uncontrollable nation now since the authorities are so far up their own back passges that they won't do anything to persuade people to behave any more.
The other day I was in a ferry queue and a 4x4 pulled up behind me on a yellow box which is there so others can drive past the queue.
I mentioned it to him since holiday makers often make the same mistake and I said as a friendly tip that if the traffic warden who was on his rounds sees you he will charge you £60.00. He only had to reverse 5 yards to get off it. Next thing I knew while I was sitting in my car was him outside my window in a completely "mental" state, screaming at me and kicking my door! He was totally out of control. I was frightened he was going to stick a knife in me. He drove away then and I was unable to get his reg number.
This is really frightening, you can't even do someone a favour now without being severely threatened. I certainly won't again anyway.!
I am just glad you were not injured anyway. Sorry the coppers are so disinterested these days.
