I have not played this course, but it looks fantastic, and was recommended by J-K, apparently this is ....home of heart attack hills.... and is the most visited golf course by the Kent Air ambulance apparently....

Buggies are available for hire, at £22 please let me know in advance if required so that I can book these.
This should be yet another great day, so I look forward to seeing you all again at Austin Lodge, hopefully with some returning faces and indeed some new ESC golfers, remember guests are very welcome.

OK, final numbers confirmed, after some sweet talking the course has agreed to maintain the original costs despite having only just over half the minimum number.
I have booked 4 buggies, so the final cost will be £35 + £11 = £46 per head.
Meet, coffee + bacon rolls at 9.15, first tee time, 10.00, last tee time 10.08!
Lunch is planned for 15.00, will ask for this to be bought forward a little.
Pre - meet at Thurrock Services 8.15, leaving 8.30 latest.
Looks like it will be very hot tomorrow, so remember loads of fluids, sun screen, etc.
Picked up the trophies this am, the 'wooden spoon' prize looks so good i wouldn't mind 'winning that
1. Yellowvanman - 25 + Buggy PAID
2. J-K - 22 + Buggy
3. PJB1 - 26 + Buggy PAID

Sorry Guys, but i cant make this either...I have just got in after a really ****ty day and to top it off, i have been seriously let down by one of my staff and so i have to cover the workload tomorrow....I am not happy.
The joys of running a business....
Have a good time out there. Plenty of sunscreen required me thinks...
Be careful on the buggies...there are some very twistee tracks and quite high drops to the side....
Have a good one..

The Results
Cheers to those that made it to Austin Lodge, what a great day!
How Hot?
and what a fantastic course, will have to go back again some time.
1st - Jay (PJB1 Guest) - well played mate
2nd - KevD - excellent, after the recent rounds, great to see you put a good one together,
Nearest the Pin - Jay - this could have easily been nearest the green!, 226 yds, 100ft drop, over trees! (everbody had missed the green on the previous par 3, so tis was the next par 3)
longest Drive - Greg (PJB1 guest) - awsome drive, well done.
Wooden Spoon - This was the most hottly contested trophy with 3 players on 31 points and was won by ME, on count back!
Thanks again to those that made it, I will put up a new thread regarding the next date later today.
J-K, thanks for suggesting the venue , shame you had to bail out at the last minute. As per my pm, I have had to pay for you, so look forward to getting your cheque soon.
