152mph in 2003 STI PPP and still pulling in 6th before I chickened out as I thought the bonnet scoop was going to get ripped off. Probably around 148mph in GPS speed (I'll check next time).

New age speedos tend to over-read, but not necessarily by 4mph. . Same applies to classics, BMWs, Porsche's, Ferraris and any other car you care to name.

Legal requirement is that all car speedos don't under-read at all and don't over-read by more than 10%. Therefore stands to reason that most cars speedos will over-read by between 0 and 10%. At lower speeds that might mean less than 4mph, at higher speeds, it tends to mean more than 4mph. Mine at an indicated 90 is over-reading by about 7mph according to a road angel.

If anyone wants to know why all those P1s have blown up, just read this thread.

Is that not what you're supposed to do

...and I just thought I needed another 400 bhp to get to 70mph a bit quicker and get my 1/4 time down to a sub 60 seconds

Thats a disgraceful speed. People like you should be locked up. Not only doing that speed but coming on a BBS and bragging about it. Does it make you feel big, not worrying about the lives of poor little kiddies that may be walking across the runway. Do you never think about other drivers, you have obviously no consideration for "normal" road users.

Was that the sort of thing you were expecting
Sounded like a good day
