I am currently a Dachau guide - one of a small handfull of us who take groups around and talk to them about life there. Concentration camps primarily worked peple to death and Death camps primarily executed people. Both these camps were part and one of the same system. All these people were destined to die just in different ways. Himmler said that no prisioner was to fall into allied hands alive. Enough said. Trains ran between both these types of camp moving the ´human cargo´.
Anyone who would like to know of any aspect about this subject please PM me.

P.S There is evidence to suggest that the Gas Chamber was probably used in a limited way at Dachau. It was however never used for mass exterminations....they ran out of fuel for the ovens. Plenty of people shot and hung in that part of the camp though.

Might be veering off thread but the above is why I get so angry about 'kids today'.No respect for old soldiers or what they went through.No comprehension of what atrocities were going on.No appreciation of what they have today,freedom.All of it taken forgranted and old people more likely to get a kicking than a thank you.

Really saddens me to see such a grotty greedy society with generations that have just got nastier and more selfish.Wonder if the old boys ever think was it worth it for this ignorant bunch.I can't even begin to imagine the horrors those people in the camps went through

A few of my friends are in the forces and they are all for the BNP. They are all very interested in the German Army/SS/Airforce and have many books.

I wonder how may other young white men are all interested in this movement?

Scott, as a former Royal Marine I read everything I could about the Wehmacht in general and the Waffen SS in particular. Not because of their politics, which I despise, but because they were among the most effective fighting units of modern times and as such there were things I could learn from them.

I don't know your friends of course, but could you possibly be misinterpreting their technical interest as something more sinister?

Yes the Wehmacht were the best trained army. On average two allied losses in battle compared to one of them. Even when their units were decimated. Scratch units hurriedly put together would be remarkably effective. The concept of Comradeship was ingrained deeply within many of them. Some of the SS were well trained too Liebenstandarte (spelling?), Das Riech and Totenkopf along witha few others namely the Nordic divisions e.g. 11SS. The SS also had a lot of fairly poor units drawn for all over German occupied territories who gave a fairly poor account of them selves in battle. The SS were the first to use the type of camoflarge used by todays modern armies. It has a certain type of name but cant remember it off the top of my head.

Trouble is, the 'Wars' were never really 'taught' in schools. It was always Roman Britain or Henry Eighth or the Slave-trade.. never anything about the Wars... thats where I believe the failing is/was.. the fact that a lot of old boys didnt want to talk about the evil horrid things they saw or had to do, and the education system as a whole didnt want to breach the subject for fear of being insensitive. Hence the lack of appreciation of what exactly these people did for todays world, all those years ago.

I never found ancient history all that interesting at school age. I do now though. History is important since we can learn so much about human behaviour from it.

I would'nt say they are misunderstood - just following the normal human way of trying to impose their thinking/beliefs on others. Trouble is they are willing to use force, intimidation and the lesson learnt from Hitler of having a focus for peoples hate. In this case anyone not white Christian.
They have goals - to assume control by force if necessary.
They do not wish to fit in - They wish everyone else to fit in or be subservient to them.
And as the saying goes all men are equal , just that some are more equal than others. Just a case of clever men using the fears and mental shortcomings of others to forward their own agenda.
