I have a PFC and a knocklink, as well as an AFR meter and that suits me fine.
I feel the knocklink gets your attention more since the CEL isn't the brightest.
The PFC commander shows up to 8 parameters, although I chose to monitor 4 (its easier to read) which are knock, water temp, boost and revs. Peak values on the PFC are nice to know.

As previously said, a very wise investment. They are supposed to be set to max sensitivity anyway, don't really know why you would want to set it any lower? ![Ponder2](images/smilies/ponder2.gif)
Had one on my old sti 4. After the decat, I definatley noticed more activity. Mostly greens though.
Even if it doesn't save your engine, it is still nice to know whats going on.
I know Mr Lewis will say that, "you should able to 'feel' whats going on", but not everyone has his 'zillion year' experience with the motor car!
The knocklink is a tool for guidence. Nothing more, nothing less.

yeah i thought getting the knocklink set-up and fitted right in the first place then leaving it well alone.
See what you mean as it's no safety device just an visual indicator.
