Wow, Dave P, vinyl disks.
I remember these coming with Record Mirror and New Musical Express (to give it its proper title). They were rubbish. They had a marked area on which to put an old (big!!!) 5p but they span at a speed independent of the turntable.
Back to sweets though, I will have a quarter of pinapple cubes or cola cubes if you've run out, and a packet of smiths malted vinegar crisps in the black bag with the World Wildlife Fund promotional stuff in it (usually a Gorilla)

Hooray, Aztecs. Yep better than Mars though, much lighter.
Star Bars, yeah started flogging then up here again about 2 years ago I think. Really old fashioned Orange 1970s style wrapper.
Smiths bones, yeah waht about the barbecue flavour fangs, and the others were bats, what flavour were they?
Anyone remember Smith's Savoury Vinegar Flavour.
Oh yeah the five boys stuff. Was that the Chocolate sandwich, plain on milk or vice versa. Why don't they do that any more?
Anyone noticed that Bournville now tastes like candy?
Any takers for Mint Shrapnel yet?

You can still get Star Bars in London in most places
They died off years ago then re-emerged as one of the three Boost varieties, (biscuit, peanut, coconut)i ate them all!, then Boosts faded back to biscuit only and they re-instated the peanut ones as Star Bars about 5 years ago. Sad but true.Even I cant believe my own knowledge of Chocolate, once an addict always an addict, clean for 6 days now, my cheekbones have returned!!
