Alg, we'll have to agree to disagree. From your post, I get the impression that you think my comments weren't aimed specifically at you - not so. The "caveman" comment was a generalisation - this isn't a comment about your situation.

With reference to my wife, no I'm not 100% certain at all. I'm 150% certain. We've known each other for 15 years and we celebrate our 9th wedding anniversary next week.

Perhaps I'm one of the more fortunate ones whose relationship just works. I can't begin to imagine what it must be like to have an untrustworthy partner.
And from that perspective, perhaps my opinion may seem harsh.

But it still doesn't take away my point that contraception is the responsibility of both parties. End of

btw, don't watch Trisha

The pill is only 99.8% effective at best, so if you have sex 1000 times then on 1 or 2 occasions it might not work! So in my case that could be one failure a year!

But seriously, if you don't wan't kids - nothing wrong with the man taking a bit of resposibility and opting for the "belt and braces method"!

As said above, it is both partners responsibility.

So as a couple in a responsible relationship you decide, as a couple, that the pill is the best method for both of you.

Are you suggesting, ScoobyDoo555 that because the female is on the pill that the male doesnt care about it. I think you will find that nearly every couple who use the pill do so because it is a choice they have made together.

I assume from your strong feelings that it is both partners responsibility that you use a condom aswell as your wife using the pill?

If that is not the case then you are not in a position to preach about it.

If that is the case then fair play.

so many bull**** replies in here.

If my GF says shes on the pill, that means we wont need condoms, plus why do woman go on the pill in the first place? Because its better without the rubber.

So your now telling me that if she decides to just stop taking the pill without telling me im at fault?

heard enough stories in the last few years for my trust of woman to vanish.

For example, woman stealing the mans money, house through divorce etc. Refusing fathers to see theyre kids, yet still shaking them down for a bundle of money.

I really cant see myself having kids or getting married in this day and age. Atleast not without a airtight prenup

I'm not suggesting that all males don't care but some of the comments made on this very bbs regarding this subject would lead me to believe this

But agreed, it is a shared responsibility.

This whole subject is beginning mutate into something else. I pointed out how wrong I felt somebody was to wholly blame the partner for the resulting child entrapment. It is/was both. Yes, there's an element of "bad luck", but at the end of the day, if the relationship (without knowing any details) was going sour, surely additional precautions should be taken. Perhaps that's just me with my silly "common sense"!!!

Either way, whatever. My wife and my kids are loved and wanted wholly by me. That's all I'm really concerned about. Nobody else really matters.

Dan

With reference to my own personal "habits", that is very personal, however, many options have been looked at.

Agree, your personal habits are very personal. I just felt that if you were saying that both parties needed to take action then it would be hypocritical if you weren't.

As far as a relationship turning sour, I can sympathise with Audi on this as I would trust my partner in something as serious as this even if things went wrong. If she was supposed to be on the pill because that was their arrangement then it is not his fault if she stopped taking it.

It wouldn't even occurr to me that she might do that as it would be a rare psycho bitch from hell to do that. You cannot play about with something as serious as having kids.
