As said look like a Festo but are normally blue, Martinair normally balck with diagrams on. have loads of them kicking around work Normally fitted to Air Cylinders to throttle its speed in one direction by restricting exhausting air but not resticting Air when pushing the cylinder the other way.

The first picture shows the Pheumatic diagram for how the trottle valve works, Basically -<o- is a one way valve Pressure exhausting from the base has to go through )/( choke/throttle and out the Brass filter. ATM Pressure through the Brass filter to the base is unresticted passing through -<o-.

If you screw in the adjuster down this will, slowdown the bleed of boost pressure and thus decreasing boost pressure. Unsrewing should increase Boost pressure. It's a cheaper version of a Dawes Device.

IIRC on Newage use fixed restrictors in the tubing and late 2/1 valves.

IMHO

I appriciate your understanding of the device Tony,as mine is very limited, but I'm 99% sure that when I turned the screw clockwise on my old one it decreased the boost (my understanding of this was that it wasnt letting as much air "bleed out")

Again DaOne, If your not sure, then leave it and get someone who knows what they're doing to adjust it for you, especially if you've no boost gauge. You could quite easily do some major damage if you've no way to monitor it
