I'm in - I take it the red stuff pads are fine for everyday road use on a (for the moment) standard car?

Just my opinion, but I tried ebc grooved/dimple discs with red stuff pads on my old sti 4. Utter pants! Cr%p from cold, crap when hot, warped discs and 2mm pad life left after only 6K! And I am not even slightly heavy on the brakes either!
Ended up replacing them with copy oe parts all for under £100. Major improvment in both cold feel and fade resistance (was using dot 5.1 fluid.)
I now have standard discs, pagid pads and braided hoses on my MY99UK Turbo now. Very happy and I will stick with this set up.
I would just hate for someone to waste £300+ on sub-standard discs and pads.
Maybe just try the pads, but pleeeaaaassseee, don't buy the discs!

I changed from OEM disc's and pads to EBC Discs and Pads (Yellow Stuff Front, Red Stuff Rear) about 2 years ago and the pads only need replacing now after 15000 miles and 2 trackdays. Haven't compared them against other aftermarket pads but they are shedloads better than OEM kit

hi all
can we have a final list of who wants what?
I think that as we're only 1 or 2 away from the minimum of 10, we'll start processing orders for them, rather than drag it out waiting for the 10.
So, can those who have added their names to the list call us on 01509 853 502 (office hours) to place your orders
thanks
Neil

Wear out VERY quickly. Yellowstuff'R' pads work exceptionally well - seem to last and last, with very little dust and good road/track characteristics.
Important to run similar/same compounds front and rear.
Discs seem to spider crack around dimples.
Forum sponsor and www.Mocomracing.com very helpful in sorting out my problems with the redstuff.
