It is entirely up to yourselves if you want to pay in full to get it out of the way, or pay half now and half at entry to the event. When I have had money from everyone, I will pay speedkarting the remaining balance of money I have.

I spoke to Adam at Pete's BBQ and I'll be bringing my cash on Sunday to the treasure hunt.

And Mark feels quite guilty about being on the main list. When I spoke to him yesterday, he said that he thinks people who actually own Subaru's should take priority over him.

He did however jest about being more used to rear wheel drive if he does get to go!

the idea of going go-karting was origanally posted on the 13th june so i think smacs members have had enough time to look at the thread and express there interest. i can only speak for myself but i aint got no problem with anyone coming to a event organised by someone from the smacs who dont go to the meets or own a scooby , i have seen other makes and models of cars turn up at meets so i dont really think it should be a rule that you have to own a subaru if you wish to go to an event organised by the club. after all the growth of the club can only continue if you open the door at times to people who own other marquees, then hopefully with coming to the meets and realising how good the subaru brand is they will part ways with there current car and join the scooby family. so please paul (unless someone has pm,d you and expressed there wish to go instead of your mate) tell your friend he is welcome to join us for a good laugh on a saturday afternoon (thats providing hes not a top notch go karter and hes going to whoop our behinds )

Moneys, the whole ethos of the club is based around driving, not cars, it just so happens we've been brought together by the subaru marque back in 2003. As a club, we've always welcomed drivers of other makes, what we don't want, is a mix of so many cars, that you can't actually tell a club outing from a cruise, hence why we use scoobynet, and are called the S.M.A.C.S
When I'm organising a smacs event, smacs members come first, regardless of how long it takes for them to respond to a thread. Bear in mind some people don't have 24/7 internet access, or may be away for an extended period and not see the thread until the last minute. For that reason, you post a list with whatever the limit of numbers is, fill it with members first, and have a reserve for non-members and family. From experience, someone always drops out, and someone else always comes along at the last minute un-announced
As it's adams first organised event, I'll forgive him letting all and sundry on the main list at the beginning I do like the way he's taken tony's initial suggestion and ran with it though, we could do with more members who are willing to get off their drivers seats and organise things, rather than sit back and moan about how things should be done

i aint moanin but there is a lad showing a genuine interest in coming to a day out to make the numbers up as the list was not full and it was turned into a big deal . the other people on the list are from a meet jenni arranges over on the wirral and i understand a few of them have been to at least one meet and the others are showing interest in coming to future smacs meets this is some going as its not a ten minute trip down the road if this was the case then future events like the NBO would have a smacs stand with around 20-30 cars on which surely would be one of the biggest northern clubs around id gladly organise an event but i dont think all of you would jump in your cars and come over to liverpool for it, as i night out in liverpool town centre probably wont appeal to most of you i dont have many chances to get out on drives with the smacs as im usually busy on sunday mornings recovering from a heavy sat night but as previously discussed with yourself i will get out onto the snake in the very near future with a bit of luck but what i do do is come over to all the smacs meets i can(75 mile round trip) and i promote the club as much as possible so hey yes i dont do much in organising things but i think i can safely say im commited to the club and its future success .
anyway back onto the go-karting now

Calm down everyone!

As of yet there have been no SMACS members that want to go but aren't on the list. If any do PM me, I will make the adjustments. I have also PM'd some SMACS members that havent put their name down, just so they are alerted to the event

The event was advertised way back with limited interest, but my wanting to go gave me a kick up the backside to get on with it. Jenni showed more enthusiasm than anyone else for helping, and a great job she has done so far!

I had to book the event to confirm a date and leave a deposit within a week.
How do you get all the SMACS together in such a short time to get the deposits? simple, there is not a chance you could do it with 2 months, nevermind a week, and I'm dammed if i'm driving around the northwest to collect it all, it would cost me the same in petrol

Some people have spoke to me about the money, and those that havent I will speak to when I am ready to if they havent done by then.

and the other cars thing It's a Subaru club FFS (dont know what I can say... I havent atteneded a SMACS meet in one of my own scoobs yet )
