It must be just me that hates the six speed box. Mine is supposed to have a quick shift fitted, but wouldn't know how to tell.
It's the notchiest box (apart from the wife's !!) I have ever had.
Round the twisties as you brake for a 90 degree'er, I just never get the right gear, third or fourth, and it's always a struggle to select. It p~sses me off all the time.
I'm forever changing up and down for minor speed changes. NO NEED, NO NEED !!
My (00) wrx wagon with a 5 speed box was the dogs danglies. The box was so smooth with effortless gear changes. It was always third gear for a 90 degree'er. Job sorted.

I like:
The practicallity
Its looks
Its overall handling that makes it so easy to drive quickly
its midrange punch for overtaking etc
centre rev counter+ rev light
exhaust note
the respect given by some people
dont like:
the brakes
the steering wheel is too big
no wheels look really really good, they all only look average
its weight
its straight line speed
the fact it dings easily
cant park it anywhere for above reason and...
the people who dont respect it cos there are 'so many' 'blue and gold' 'not an evo' etc

I love mine as everyone else but slowly getting rid of all the negatives
1) Dislike brakes - changing to AP 6 Pot with 330 or 355 rims and 2500 pads in a month (got the parts, bells etc being made)
2) Handling, Understeer - Powerstation handling stage one sorted (whitelines, springs (prodrive), geometry
3) Power, always changing gears, turbo lag - WRC350 now about 350 torque and 330 - 335bhp (Had PPP before but the WRC350 even better).
4) Road noise - Noisekiller kit also helped with the hard driving feel.
5) Optimax - Where I live in Telford (at least) 5 shell's near me within say 2 miles I kid you not
6) MPG - My work place is about 2 miles from my house but every 2 or three days I take a trip to another place of work about 70 miles round trip with choice of motorwar, toll, A and B-roads to choose from
7) Manual water spray - changed to automatic by WRC Technologies
So any negatives? Not many left now Even had a Lambo Gallardo giving me the thumbs up on weekend as he couldn't get away from me he waited for me to overtake him (I wasn't going fast then he revs up and blasts past but I let him know I have some power too as on paper the speeds are now similar (bhp, weight, etc) ;-)
