sti are out tbh. looking for a mint classic or prodrive job. due to running costs and insurance etc plus i promised the wife id get a 4dr car next. im just going to have to be patient, i just missed one as well that was on autotrader a while back , mica blue, one owner, 21000mls fssh was minted £7200 but i hadnt sold my car so missed it. hope another one comes along soon, typical ive got the money in the bank now but cant find the right car.

STi's do come in 4-door. It the STi Type R that is two door. Also, you may surprise yourself on the insurance. I got a cheaper quote through A-Plan for an STi 6 than I did for my UK classic. How's that work I don't know?
Just be patient and get one from the for sale section of scoobynet. Minters pop up at the rate of about 1 a month. At least you know there is more of a chance its been looked after by an enthusiast.
