Aston Hall
try http://www.birmingham.org.uk/
Dinner
Bank (brindley place)
Jessicas - edgbaston
Rajdoot - Indian (St Pauls Sq)
Bucklemaker - best food in the world (St Pauls Sq)
Barton Arms - supurb thai (newtown - complete dump get a taxi for gawds sake but highly recommended)
le petit blanc (brindley place)
If you want something more casual for drinks and dinner but still civilised try the green rooms http://www.greenroomcafebar.co.uk/ or Bar estilo at mailbox - the best tapas in brum and the rioja is fabulous.
Drinks
all-bar-one brindley place
apres - summer row
bacchus - new street - nice and very unusual but its underground so you're not going to see much of a nice evening
Personally Id stay away from Broad Street, apart from the lounge, and whatever you do, dont go to Tin Tins (chinese) in brindley place
And wherever you eat, make sure you book - even on a sunday night
enjoy

Although on Sunday as they do Buffets which is a bit rank IMO (sorry I have high standards -waiters serves me the food, I'm not up for this help yourself rubbish ). But they'll still do stuff off the menu if you ask nicely (proper Cantonese grub...far superior to Chinese ).
