I'm new to Subarus so don't know much to be able to comment really... except that the Bug Eye looks hideous
Love the GC8 chassis or the "classic" as i see it being referred to.
A long time ago i read about an s201 Impreza.. haven't heard any mention of it here. Apparently it was the first attempt at building a ROAD sportscar (as opposed to RALLY type). How do you guys rate that one?
Also haven't heard any mention of the COlin McRae limited editions that were famous for 0-96kmh around 3,9seconds (????) - somebody correct me if i'm wrong.

In my humble opinion:
S201 - Production of 400? - Classic - 1st attempt by Subaru to make something special, end of line of the classic. Lots of STi bits, bodywork looked a bit "bolt on".
S202 - Production of 400 - Bug - End of line again, based on the Bug Spec C, light weight (Even lighter then Blob eye Spec C, but it still has air con and electric windows.) A focused performance drivers car, if you like Subaru's. Was it Solberg who said after driving one, this is the closest model to his current WRC?
S203 - Production of 555? End of line, but based on the STi, more power then standard and still got the STi parts bin thrown at it, but not as "raw" a drivers car. Perhaps Subaru aiming at different market?
S204 - Production goes up to 600. Pre end of line (only 1yr after "hawkeye" is released) Again based on STi and pretty much same level of STi bits.
For me, Impreza development is the Spec C.The "S" range is now just a showcase of STi bits and Recaro seats that cost a zillion yen. Very nice Recaro seats I might add!
The S203 / S204 are still great cars but not as focused as they could be, or rather, should have been.

Pete you are a complete wally to be honest. Fair enough your expressing an *opinion*, but why do you keep brining it up on every single thread that you possibly can? Your an attention seeker of the worst kind.
This is a forum for all Subaru owners and it is a shame that you consistently lower the tone. You know exactly what your doing... it's not funny, it's not winning you any friends and it's a shame you keep spoiling and diverting threads in the way that you do.
You do need to reassess your own opinion of yourself.
