There is no question that this document is designed with ISA in mind in the sense that the proposals for ISA highlight that it will be slowing you down for corners even if the posted limit is much greater than the limit the box will actually let you drive at. This document is very much focused on removing any requirement for driver judgement by setting much lower limits for bits of road with corners, hills etc. It also insists that so as not to confuse the driver these areas of much lower limits should not be less than 600m in length. So, 300m from every bend or hill your car will be limited to 40 or even 30mph. At first it will just be a speed limit but once the black boxes go in then you car will be restricted to that speed.

the only black box is the insurance box, there is no way that there will be a black box that controls you whitin the next 10/15 years and even then it will infringe your human rights so bad that it cant possibly come in.

To carry on the same theme from this government we today have John Reid going on about 'short-term curbs on freedoms for the long term benefits' ... Bu))ux is what I say to that. When we lose freedoms we don't get them back unless there is a (real) revolution !!

Shows how brainwashed we are. Today in the Northampton Chronicle and Echo, the question was asked to 5 'random' people if they thought the reduction of speed limits by 10mph was a good or bad idea. The result? Every one of them thought it was a good idea.
There was no indication in the question if it was reduction on motorways, rural roads of in towns and cities. Crazy.

My local council have already reviewed speed limits...
Dual carriageway now a 50mph, previously NSL
All other NSL roads now 40/30mph including rural ones.
Most town centre roads now 20mph
The police here have also recently got themselves lots of new speedtrap devices including a motorcycle mounted cameras.
Driving here nowadays is such a pain in the ****, no one looks at the road as their eyes are glued to their speedo and most sit 5mph under the limit. To top it all this is in an town where there have not been many serious accidents in the 20yrs I've lived here
